I got a few awesome things done today but sadly still have to go in to work tomorrow. 
 

I finally put the new motion sensitive light on the shop so I can see to unlock the door. I put new headlights on the mr2 spyder. I got some stuff packed up and out of the way to ship. Spring is almost here and I haven't gotten my shop nearly as cleaned out as I hoped!!

I finally installed the crown and base molding in the bathroom and then taped and papered everything up to paint the trim and ceiling. I'm good at it but I hate painting

I was picking up some slab makin' materials last Saturday at Lowes.  The place was actually pretty darn busy with people doing "that home project I've been putting off."

Personally I have build a massive Technic LEGO set I got years ago, cleaned part of my garage, and updated my Mom's house with a bunch of Alexa-enabled tech that will make her life easier (and safer).

Step 1: shove furniture away from walls

step 2: recruit enthusiastic helper

Step 3:  paint!

Painting complete for this room. I'll update this post once I push the furniture back into place.

Well done sir!  Looks great.

Took the day off from painting yesterday to . . . wait for it . . . wash the walls in the vaulted ceiling!  Today, back to the paintbrush.  

EDIT:  I have now painted my way to "logistical incapacity" and we're on statewide lockdown, so looks like I'm done for a day or two.  

Stained the deck today.  Another hated job off the list. 

Well, the inevitable two week furlough from work starts next Monday.  The list of supremely crappy jobs that I otherwise didn’t have time for will come home to roost starting then.  Yea.  First up, removing all the blocks in the paver front walkway to level it out with more sand, followed by block replacement. Unless it rains.  Alot.

My dad was big on washing walls. As a tall teenager with a short Italian Dad I was always recruited to wash the ceilings.  
 

Years later my dads gone and I remember and ask my Aunt what was up with this?  They had coal then oil burner furnaces and everybody smoked inside. The walls got dirty with ash so it was a common thing.  

I have made several completely crap free corners in my shop.
