Made corned beef and cabbage on Sunday, stopped tonight for rye bread, sauerkraut and swiss cheese, and enjoyed the hell out of a reuben with some nice yellow mustard.
35 years ago, I would have said "eewww" to each and every ingredient, and to each combination. Well, the rye bread probably would have been ok. Delicious today.
Loved corned beef and cabbage and sauerkraut, love kimchi as well.

Half the food I eat makes my wife make a face.
The worst are head cheese and braunschweiger.
In reply to mtn:
My mom would eat liver sausage sandwiches with a glass of butter milk. Yuck
I hate puckled beets and flakey coconut. Other than that I enjoy gluttony.
I should have realised I was going to need the googles to explain some things after posting.
I fear most organ meats make me go "eewww".
Tiger Mom is Filipino. Everything her family eats was a challenge on "Fear Factor" at some point.
And yes, I chowed on balut last year as her closest 20 relatives watched to see if I would be squeamish.
Dr. Nog!
Egg Nog and Dr Pepper, with or without booze, delicious!
Onions were gross until (I remember the exact moment in my early twenties) I started to love them. Now I can't get enough. Same with almonds (34) and mustard (23).
I blame my Scots / English / German roots.
I love:
Haggis and soda bread.
Steak and Kidney pie.
Black pudding.
Liverwurst.
Asian cuisine still freaks me out though. I did Filipino martial arts for five years, the instructor took us out for dinner once, Balut gives me the heebie-geebies.
Everyone should try phaal at least once.
Liver pudding.
Doesn't that look tasty?
How about now?
Starts with equal parts of pig liver, skin and butt meat. Boil, grind, add rice and pack into pan until the fat congeals. Then slice and fry.
Damn that's good stuff.
We are scheduled to make another 80 pounds Thanksgiving weekend. I can't wait, I've been out for several months now.
It always amazes me how many people are averse to avocados and guacamole. And anchovies! How can you not love anchovies?

Saltine crackers and milk, in a bowl like cereal. It's so yummy, but my dad is the only other person I know who eats it. The husband nearly called it quits the first time I ate it in front of him.
Other than that fries and ice cream is about as 'strange' as my food gets.

My granddad thought calf brain dunked in buttermilk was a great treat. He didn't waste much.
Peanut butter...apparently.
In reply to Toyman01:
That looks an awful lot like scrapple I love it, I just don't like to think about what's in it.
In reply to 84FSP: lingua is beef tounge, isn't it? I ordered some by accident once at a serious, for real Mexican lunch counter by/for Mexicans in Santa Barbara once. It was so good came back for more several times that week.

I will eat almost anything except that. Tongue, liver all that I've even been tricked into eating the aforementioned calf brain by my father. I can't say that it's something that I will go out of my way to find but give me a choice and I choose that over PB.

Thank you NOT for that image Google.
Cant vouch for the delicious bit, but you are in the lead for E36 M3 I ain't going to bother trying.
Grubs and "stinky tofu" are also on the puke-bucket list of non-starters.
I'm with the peanut and peanut butter haters. Blech.
SWMBO isn't big on seafood. I love seafood. All forms. Everything. Ever. I don't get enough of it now because it grosses her out.
SWMBO is Korean. Some of the things she eats we made a deal that she cooks it when I'm not home, it smells that bad. Tofu and fish head soup is not something I can stomach. Have eaten a lot of other Korean stuff (can't call all of it food). They don't waste any part of food. Fresh kimchi is tasty, my favorite being turnip kimchi. It's the winter kimchi that is tough to swallow. Made in the spring and either buried or sealed for the summer and opened in the winter. I've seen Koreans eat that knee deep in snow without coats and sweating. As I got older (OK, old) my body just can't take too exotic anymore. Younger I had an iron stomach and could eat about anything. Kae-go-gi isn't as bad as it sounds. A lot like beef.
I eat all kinds of weird stuff.
Liver and onions
Durian
Tongue
Tripe
I usually get "you're eating (what) at (what) time??"
meh, its food. I eat what I have when I'm hungry.
OR
for some reason non of my siblings like leftovers, so when ever I visit my parents, my plate looks like this
Bonus points when they are out of buns and I just throw everything in a taco shell.
Vegan... Anything is disgusting.
Seriously, the wife is a vegetarian and SHE can't stand vegan "food".
It's like a disappointing, sad combination of soy, rice flour and bleached cardboard.
They should serve that stuff as a last meal so that the death-row inmates will just do the job themselves.
