Diana Rigg died yesterday at 82, of cancer.

She was a 'Bond Girl' in On Her Majesty's Secret Service, but she'll always be Emma Peel from The Avengers to me.  She also had a great late-career performance in Game Of Thrones.

The best "Bond girl" of all time. The only one who 007 deemed worthy of marriage.

I came across this video in my time at U Ttube. and have watched it a time or two. Or that's as much as I care to admit to.

I was a Emma Peel fan from the first time I saw "The Avengers" TV show.

She had one of the best scenes in GOT:

(Spoiler Warning)

"I'd hate to die like your son,"

"Clawing at my neck, foam and bile spilling from my mouth, eyes blood-red, skin purple. Must have been horrible for you, as a King's Guard and a father. It was horrible enough for me. A shocking scene, not at all what I intended. You see, I'd never seen the poison work before. Tell Cersei, I want her to know it was me."

Probably my first crush.

"Mrs. Peel, we're needed."

Yeah, I was that kid.  I haven't seen Duke's first photo in a while, but I definitely remember it.  May all of us have (and may we all work to deserve) a partner who kicks ass, takes names, always has our back, and knows that we like our tea stirred anti-clockwise.

RIP, Ma'am, and thanks.
