I've wanted to make a camera mount for my car for a while. I want to make a time-lapse video of the drive down to the Mitty, so I used that as an excuse to whip one up.

The adjustable head came off an old portable tripod. It's mounted to a piece of angle iron that's secured to the headrest by a single U-bolt.

Nice. Similar to one I made.

I would suggest putting it on the drivers seat unless you are going to have a passenger all the time. When I put mine on the passenger seat with no one sitting in it I got some fuzzy video.. With no weight on the seat it vibrated/bounced enough to screw up the focus of the camera.

With large chunks of pointy steel aimed at your head, I would recommend putting it on the back seat headrests.

Nice job though.
