The pull-down menu has a feature so you can quickly see the newest message board topics. I was just wondering if you guys use that feature.
Thanks.

Do you mean the "Jump to" at the top and bottom of each thread?
If so, yes. I use it on mobile devices to go back to latest topics. If that could be the first item on the list or even alphabetically ordered... it would be swell so I didn't have to scroll past the other 11 entries to get to it. I never go directly to any forum unless I am starting a new post because Latest Topics aggregates all of them. Hence my wish for it to be top of the list ;)
On a desktop/laptop I don't use dropdowns at all because I can just hit the bookmark on my toolbar for "Latest Topics" and go there straight away.
And don't worry, it's not going away--or even being changed. I was just wondering if it's used or not.
All the time.
My typical path is the "Forums" link at the top of the page, then the "Latest Topics" button.
I'd rather have just the "Latest Topics" button, and would love to see it at the bottom of the page (If I am actually reading the thread, I end at the bottom of the page, not the top. It is a pain to scroll back to the top on a mobile device).
Yes, I am familiar with the drop down menu at the bottom. Slightly harder to navigate.
I never have - guess I wasn't aware there was such a thing. I just open up each forum and look for the discussions with a dark bar on the left side of the title, which indicates there are new posts in those discussions.
If you are looking for real estate and I was making a choice, I'd rather loose the "Top Rated" and "New Topics" buttons.
I use "Latest Topics" and "Your Posts" all the time.
The old forum had a dedicated button at the top of the page. I know you said that the software isnt changing, but that is the biggest feature that I feel was missed when the jump happened.
That and the leaderboard, but that is a topic for another thread...
I just used it for the first time after reading this thread!
Normally I just go to the particular subforum and look at thread titles from the top down.
I would actually like to see "Latest Topics" moved to the top of the Jump menu on the mobile version. The only time that I use Jump is when I'm on my phone and it's a minor pita to scroll down to "Latest".
You'll need to log in to post.
