Specifically base rsx automatic for DD use.
119,000 miles. As rust free as you can get for NE Ohio. Shifts fine but will it last another 100k miles??
Seems like an almost to good to be true deal in todays market.
I've never heard of Civic automatic transmissions being bad, only Accords of a certain year when attached to the V6.

It's definitely a good deal if these trannys are stout. My mental note tells me there was an issue with them . My hesitation will cost me the deal.
My parents have a 2007 civic they bought new with 280k miles on the factory transmission. They rarely drive it now, but I drove it a few weeks ago and it feels fine.
Not sure it matters or its even comparable but just throwing it out there.
Wow a few less miles than my RSX, which i think has low miles for a 20 year old car. i havent seen another nice, non hacked one for awhile.
Definitely worth a look, very soon

This is a 5 speed auto with the manual flip up /down function on the shifter.

Very clean interior. It has some small dents and small damage to the rear bumper but nicer than most of the DDs I've purchased.
Yes, I scoped out the pics, looks like an original owner car, even factory floor mats. Mine's an S with the 6spd, my dad bought new and gave us friends and family pricing. The base would be better for a DD right now without the need for premium. Very nice little car.
Doesn't really help with your question, but I'm also thinking if the rest of the car looks well cared for, they are prb more likely to have changed the ATF.

Yeah, the civic has a 5 speed but probably different transmission.
My wife had a 2008 Acura RDX with a 5 speed and paddle shifters. Bought new and sold at 200k miles, no problems either. Also probably a different transmission since it was all wheel drive.
One of my old bosses put multiple transmissions in Acuras.
and I would never buy an automatic civic because of how weak the transmissions are. I can't say if the RSX auto is weak.
That seems too good to be true for a low mile, no rust RSX in the rust belt. If it is as advertised, I would grab it potential future trans issues or not.
