Dunno if this has been posted. iOS 11.2.1 is causing major problems. Don't update!
I've not had any issues with battery life, neither has the wife and we've both updated recently.
I suspect users with older devices are especially hit. Our 7's don't seem to be suffering.
I don't think I updated, as I tend to not update for as long as I can, but today my iphone just shut down completely. Full charge. I was able to get it back on by holding power and home for a solid 45 seconds though.
Lolz at Apple.
I don't miss my iPhone for a second. My V20 has been better then any iDevice I have owned.

Mine have. All of them and they all still do. You trolling isn't appreciated or welcomed.
Hey, hey. I recognize that this is a topic that gets normally sedate individuals foaming at the mouth, but let's try to keep it civil!

Recently isn't this- I got notification of this update yesterday.

Um, I work in IT, so when I say we updated recently, especially in relation to 11.2.1, then I'm not mistaken and I know what I'm speaking of. Apple rolls out the update notifications slowly using their own algorithm to avoid overloading their download sites and to reduce causing issues with their users. Microsoft does something similar for its updates and bases the time to check for new updates based on when the system was last started plus a specific amount of time.
So just to spell it out because you enjoy being a pedant, all three of our iOS devices have updated to iOS 11.2.1 without issue. That list includes two iPhone 7 and 1 iPad Mini.
Now, can we get back to the discussion at hand?

Oh, simma down. Did you not see the smiley?

You were not clear about any of that. So you know, I got the 11.2.0 update just a week ago, and the 11.2.1 update yesterday. To me, last week can be considered recent. So I wanted to make sure people were talking about the correct update. Not the last one that was so recent.
I had no idea that you work in IT. So forgive me on that oversight. No need to be nasty about it.
Are we seriously lashing out at each other over cellphones?! You guys know that we're better than that! If you want to get upset about something, discuss something important like which engines are better for swapping.
Hasn't rolled through for hte 6 yet. That is the nice thing about having older iPhones, update issues are usually non-events for us because A.) they've already found the problem and fixed it or 2.) they affect things we don't have.
I made bank off iPhones and I like their operating system better than the droids.
In reply to Appleseed :
I heard everyone has already done it and its played out. You'll get no respect.
I have 10.3.2. I fight against the updates as long as I can. They generally add features I don't want or care about and I don't want to buy a new phone to keep up with the bloat.
I too updated yesterday, iphone 8. I haven't seen any issues with it yet, other than them adding apps that are not relevant to my interests. But that's neither here nor there...
In reply to Appleseed :
You kill me. I'm pretty sure we met at the Midwest GRM meet, last year. Next time I get to one, I'm buying you a drink.

Nah, have to do the LT swap now, update not compatible with LS swaps.
I did update my 6s, no problems at all, battery life same as before.
