Well a movie version. They were filming Contagion in Waukegan, il this morning. Mostly movie support trucks, a fleet of Chicago cop cars and a fleet of deuce and a half military surplus trucks with red crosses. Doesn't look good for Chicago next summer.

I walked through the street set of A Bronx Tale on a day when they weren't shooting. It looked like I walked into the early 60's. Very cool.

They should have just filmed it in Detroit. Wouldn't have to spend a dime on sets, as the apocalypse is there now.

They haven't bulldozed Detroit yet?

As part of the green movement they are just allowing it to return to the earth naturally.

I left Ft. Knox the day the movie trucks rolled in to film "Stripes". I was very bummed. When I watched it it was like going back to basic all over again. "I was there and there and there."

I gave up on Detroit long ago. Even Robo-Cop couldn't save that city.

When I was in Las Vegas as a kid (12y/o, maybe?) we spotted a giant, toddler-proportioned, Reebok behind the Hard Rock Cafe. They were building a set for "Honey, I Blew Up The Kid". At the time, it was titled "Honey, I Blew Up The Baby", and I couldn't believe they would give it such a terrible, yet hilarious name. I was a slightly morbid kid.
