What make this surprising to me is that this isn't a river flooding like happens in some areas, or weeks and weeks of sold rain slowly soaking and flooding everything as happened in England last year. This was one evenings massive rain fall. We stood at our front door watching it for a while and I have honestly never, ever, seen rain falling as hard as it did in my life.

Good luck all, the memories of the '06 and '11 CNY floods are still fresh in my memory, along with some flash flood action that washed out my road last year.

Flooded pretty bad down here in the dirty T as well. Enough to kill my Accord. I've also never seen it rain that hard for that long.
