Not sure if it is legit but I signed up. Not sure if they are going to choose me since I have a truck.

Can this movie series please just die? I went to 7 on a lark and walked out apoplectic that I had wasted $10 on watching that garbage.

I think you were taking the movie a lot more seriously than it takes itself.
I think the part where they think they're going to find 'precision drivers' in Cleveland is pretty funny!
In reply to Adrian_Thompson: If so that probably means that are going to film in downtown Cleveland and East Cleveland.

I went into it with pretty low expectations and just planning on cheap entertainment. It still was a waste.
WOW Really Paul? wrote:trigun7469 wrote: In reply to Adrian_Thompson: If so that probably means that are going to film in downtown Cleveland and East Cleveland.Same difference really.....
um, go for a walk in east cleveland. we'll send flowers to your funeral.
at least i can go downtown and not assume i'll be mugged, jacked, or killed. or all 3.
the only way i'm signing up is if i can take deadman's curve in the datsun at 80 and see if it sticks. stuck it in the old sonoma at 70 on street tires.
I ran EMS in East Cleveland in the early 90s. Changed my outlook on things quite a bit after growing up in semi-rural areas, and the area hasn't gotten better since then .

I remember passing traffic once while running late for ASE testing by driving in the rightmost lane, going eastbound. Slowed down to 65, those dried out Eagle STs didn't have much traction.
Now, why they kept giving me the Euclid test center is beyond me. Yes technically I lived on the near west side, but I was working in Strongsville. Try to get from Strongsville to Euclid in 20 minutes in the evening.
I was on the set for one of those movies. You might be surprised at just how boring some of the driving may actually be.
I would expect all the real driving to be by union stunt drivers.
Is that a normal thing? It seems there are probably plenty of people that driving for movies is their job. There would be an awful lot of liability if something went wrong. Or is their budget for actually filming cars driving somewhere in the low three figures and the rest is cgi?
