With the filming schedule being what it is, I wonder if Finn left the show at the same time that Newbern left Finnegan's Garage? For the same stated reasons, no less.
Leaving in the middle of a season makes me think there may be more to the story.

what happened? I remember Finnegan had done a video on his youtube channel that said Cotton had left FSM due to travel commitments but stated very assuredly that they where still friends but commuting from Illinois to Georgia regularly was taxing on his home life. I like faster with finnegan and the dynamic between the three of them in addition to the fact that they do all of it on jack stands in a home garage (granted with access to tools and skills that are far above mine)
I clicked on the link and it's just a photo of a van with a trailer and a Grand Wagoneer on a trailer. Is that the wrong link?
From what I understand, David Freiburger said that Finnegan leaving FWF was due to Finnegan being really busy (his own channel, plus he's trying to compete in a drag boat championship this year) and choosing to just focus on Roadkill as far as the MTOD shows go.
Newbern left Finnegan's Garage due to time constraints and filming with Finnegan for that and for FWF had him away from his family too much.

Straight from Finn's mouth, the whole reason stated is to "Be home more with my family"
Which is basically the same reason Newbern left FWF.
Regardless, leaving before the season is done filming and then waiting months to talk about t doesn't make it seem like we are getting the truth about about this.

David Newbern left Finnegan's Garage, not Mike Cotten. Mike was never a part of the YouTube Channel.
Mike Finnegan apparently left Faster With Finnegan quite some time ago, and just announced it over the weekend.

got it, thanks for the clarification... Its a shame that since Motortrend got purchased and moved to the streaming format the quality of the content has gone downhill... The new content that they have on-boarded is okay but Alex Taylor isn't as engaging as Tony Angelo; Derek Bieri and Tyler Hoover both are more engaging on their youtube platforms than the 1/2 hour shows that they have on motortrend...
