Home Alone.
Cheistmas Vacation, Elf and Christmas Story are our top three. Mrs TJ likes the Kranks. We atarted Lethal Weapon a few weeks back but turned it off after 10 minutes or so. Don't think it holds up well. I only saw Diehard all the way through once and that was not this century.
unless my beverage intake has affected my reading comprehension, I have not seen mention of the following:
Better Off Dead
Trading Places
Love Actually
yeah I like that romantic E36 M3, you gotta berkeleying problem with that?
not a movie but every episode could be: S3E10 of Northern Exposure "Seoul Mates"
Love Actually
The Snowman
Christmas Vacation
Emmet Otter's Jugband Christmas
Its a Wonderful Life
None of which I can watch yet since the divorce (they were our favorites)
These I love and can watch
Rudolph
Sound of Music (not really a Christmas movie, but always played around that time)
Frosty
Charlie Brown Christmas
The proper old black and white Christmas Carol (is that right?) with Alastair Simm. (Is THAT right?)
Scrooge, and Sim is correct.
On now, as a matter of fact, but its colorised. Wow, what an awful technology.
I had completely forgotten that Die Hard was set on Christmas Eve until this thread. We're watching it now...
Edit: Hans just took a Rolex flying...

I'm inviting myself to your eve's party next time. I just had to sit thru George Bailey's life story for the 20th year in a row.
Muppets Christmas Carol
Muppet Family Christmas (TV special, but I'll count it as a movie because)
It's a Wonderful Life
A Christmas Story
Charlie Brown Christmas
Miracle on 34th Street. The original, please.
(Not in any particular order.)
In reply to David S. Wallens:
Gremlins! Favorite movie of all time!! Also. Kingston Falls=Hill Valley. Not joking about that go to #15. Kingston Falls is Hill valley
Or I guess I should say Hill Valley is Kingston Falls.
My family has a strage fetish for A Christmas Story because they used to have the house next door to the one used in the movie. I, however, have never seen it.
I know I'm old, but I remember watching Mr. Magoo's Christmas carol every Christmas day on tv.

Well, if we're going with "Movies that have nothing to do with Christmas except for incidentally being set around that timeframe"...

Yeah, I'm embarrassed for not mentioning Better Off Dead earlier. "Christ-mas!"
We watched 1941 last night. It's basically two hours of pandemonium. Until last night, too, I never realized that Hollis Wood is in the final scene. You can see him (and his underwear) standing on the foundation after the house slides into the ocean. Glad to see that he made it to shore okay.
It's a Wonderful Life, Trish busts my stones because I had a crush on Donna Reed as a kid.
On my desk at work I had a 3 X 5 picture frame with rose petals in it, written underneath was Zuzu's Petals. People ask what it was, "I look at it every day to remind me this is real, not a dream".
They leave immediately...
Now we're watching Pee-wee’s Playhouse Christmas Special
Good stuff. Everyone looks so young, though.
(Make sure you say the word of the day.)
Growing up British TV always showed either The Sound of Music and or the Wizard of Oz followed by a James Bond over dinner.
sitting here in a post brunch stuppor we're now half watching the Sound of Music and all the pre Craig bonds are on the shelf next.
I'm sure a Harry Potter or Lord of the Rings will make an appearance too over the next few days.
