I'm noticing that when I search in a 500 mile radius on FBM I'm only getting search results from within roughly 125 miles. It's been like that for a couple of days. Anyone else seeing that?

Mine is kinda the opposite. I have it set for a 45 mile range most times and I get items from states away.

No.
:)

Same for me. I set a radius and it suggests stuff from three states away.
radius only applies when you click "Local"
default, at least for me, is "For You" which has E36 M3 from all over the country.

It's even when I click local pickup. Long before I get to the "results from outside your search" it's already showing me stuff much further outside my radius.
I figure it's FB showing me what it wants me to see rather than what I want to see
When you list something on FB it tries to get you to pay and "promote/feature" your item. I figure that means if you search for anything on 4 wheels it will show you some listings that also have 4 wheels because it needs to return metrics to the seller who bought that service.

You don't say....
I agree. They're not in the business of making effective free ad space, they're in the business of collecting data and using complex electrons to make money.

I was figuring they didn't want to waste the compilation effort for results with virtually no chance of my actually buying... I've done so many searches they probably figure I'm not worth the effort any longer.
Just for that I'm not going to look at their ads any longer.
So there.
