Good thing I'm not in school now. That "malicious tampering with the PA system" that earned me 3 days off, would probably be a federal case now with a extended vacation to Leavenworth.
I can't even imagine what the pocket full of 22 shells I accidentally took to high school in a jacket pocket would cost.
Common sense is dead.

QFT. Logan missed eighty days of school last year because of chemo/radiation. The poor teachers knew their "metrics" were on the borderline, so they nursed him through the stupid tests and advanced him to the next grade. He's really been struggling this year (although he's doing better with some tutoring)..and their answer to that is to do it again.
IMO, schools shouldn't be run like businesses. They're too damn important.
In reply to JoeyM:
Sure it was for a class, but several people became intoxicated, we blew E36 M3 up after school in the parking lot, etc. I like to think our Chem teacher was the Antichrist to those on the school board.
All this over a measly works "bomb" (if you can even call it that, its the power of a firecracker).....these people would probably hang me for my tannerite explosions disintegrating televisions and such. 12oz of that will blow a 1ftx1ft hole in a car hood for crying out loud.
