I just dropped in there this evening to preorder Assassins Creed IV and the "Day One" version of FM5 is the $80 one as far as the lady could tell me.

You know that Sony was gonna do the same thing, right? They just had the good fortune of Microsoft announcing it first. EASports was the biggest pusher of that mess.
Hmmm... 200 cars, and 14 tracks at launch? Berkely you, Turn 10. I will be going to Gamestop to change my pre-order, since I'll be sticking with Forza 4 for the time being.
The more I read about Turn10's tactics in this situation... FM6 is gonna have to be stunningly brilliant to bring me back.
The lighter car list doesn't bother me as much as the track list does. When I look through it, I only see a handful of cars I don't really think belong, so 195 out of 200 ain't all bad. I am annoyed at the $50 dollar car pass they announced though before the damn game is even released.
The track list is more unforgivable. I appreciate the argument and work that went into re-scanning real world tracks to make them more accurate and not just porting over the old models of tracks, but dropping the Ring and a host of your fantasy tracks doesn't really make me a happy camper.
I think Forza is becoming the console version of IRacing. Its a fun experience, but damn if they don't make you pay for every extra little bit of it.
Ah the good ole season pass trick.
I paid it last time and didn't mind. But FM5 already wasnt a compelling enough reason for me to upgrade to xbox one. Now even less so.

WAYYYYY too many high end cars. What are you gonna run in C class or lower? You know, the classes that the real racers run?
In reply to racerfink:
No, we all ran A class, which is why that one was probably the biggest on there.
And having looked at the 'Direct feed video' of the KTM at Sebring... What the hell did they laser scan?!?! The track itself is exactly the same!!! They didn't get the massive curb that's been added at the hairpin, and they certainly missed the "banking" of turn 13. But everything beyond the racetrack looks better!
I've been the biggest Forza fanboi on this forum, but I'm done lining their pockets through DLC extortion...
No. Everybody here on this forum ran realistic races. It was the only way to avoid being run over by the no talent ass clowns in the higher classes.
In reply to racerfink:
I never really had that problem in the higher classes.....but I can tune cars to be fast, so I rarely was ever in the back. Most likely why on FM3 & 4 my win ratio was 40-45% and podium ratio was over 80%. That FM3 total is probably more impressive because I only ran RWD stuff.
Its all good though, I'm not cancelling my day one LCE(it is indeed a different version of the day one with even more), but I still won't be getting the new xbox until at least next summer.
My win ratio is much higher than that. I usually get clocked in the first turn of the first lap by people who don't know what the brakes are for.
In reply to racerfink:
Obviously you didn't race with the ONR, V12, or FCoA groups......and normally I'd be in 12-16 player lobbies. There was some incidental, some diliberate, names called, etc.....but it was clean most of the time. Once I learned how to change the person getting kicked on the voting screen, it became much better.
I'm just wondering who the hell is racing in the SUVs and trucks?
I'd gladly forgo the Raptor (which I love IRL) and its ilk for say...a complete set of prepped B-spec race cars.
