now to convince the wife to move...

it looks like there's plenty of room to pull one into the living room
Plus the carport...
my only gripe, and they may have already addressed it better than it appears, but it seems as though having the old slider service doors and such isn't very weather tight, no thresholds on the doors, etc. Once actually living there, I'd want to keep bugs and such out since there's a real kitchen/food, etc.
Very cool project though. That bathroom is sweet.
Totally awesome. I have an idea. Get rid of half of the furniture. That makes plenty of room for cars.
Wow, where is this? The link is horrible, or at least my computer hates it, I can't see the pics on there, only here on GRM. Are there any details? I'd love to find it on Google maps.

yep.. why do you say no?
Were I to find myself an empty nester I'd be shopping for an old Midas Muffler or Jiffy Lube to do something like that with. I mentioned this idea to my wife years ago. She was not enthusiastic even though we would have two lifts and an open hole floor in the "Rec Room".

And that it's the bacheloriest bachelor pad in the history of bachelordom, and Grtechguy has a wife...and you can be sure it's not grassroots-priced either.
I think this place was featured in an episode of Extreme Homes on HGTV a while back, there may be some video on their website.

My brother works for the ABC affiliate down there as Camera man. I've heard stories about crime and politics that make my home state look nicely boring.

Nah saw that one too, same idea but not the same place. Nowhere near as swanky as this one.
