Damn Autocorrect.

So the site I used to use to get pics off my phone to make a URL and the post them here has changed something and it doesn't work anymore.

What sites or apps work for this task? I think I used flickr at one time and that gave me problems as well.

Doesn't dropbox work for that?

Imgur.com is good, I don't know how private or secure it is if you're hosting more personal stuff.

I use photobucket. They have an adroid app. Seems to work.

I do Tumblr, if you don't mind them public?

The photobucket app for windows phones are terminally broken. So every photo I take with the phone gets automatically uploaded to the cloud. I just download the ones I want to my computer then download them to photobucket.

I don't like any of the other image hosting services I've tried so I put up with the hassle.

this is what I finally found to work … both flicker and photobucket made it so clunky and non-intuative (for a near luddite) that I could never make them work on a consistent basis

I use Android Photobucket app. Don't set to auto backup tho, it'll use a lotta data and sometimes get stuck in backup. App updates might have fixed that tho.

iPhone photobucket user here, it doesn't always work quickly but it always works. Their limits are unreachable for me also, I've had that account since 2003/4 and I've not gone over the free limit.

On TCL it used to shut my account down for to many views but that hasn't happened here lol.

Hmm... I'm in the same boat. Flickr is really annoying to use and the Android app is clunky. My main problem with Photobucket is the site is blocked at work, so I can't use it there. But still... If it works better than Flickr than I may give it a shot.

+1 for imgur or min.us for quick public uploads, no account needed.

I upload pics to my facebook account and link directly to any images I want to share on a forum.. you gotta do the "copy image location" thing and paste that into the message you are posting, but it isn't that hard to do..

My only problem is that I want it to go directly from my phone to the website. I don't want to upload it to a website and then get on a computer, then copy image location and paste to the site.

I want to upload it from my phone to a site that will give me a URL for my image, then copy and past URL to GRM directly from my phone. No needing to get on the laptop.

I used to use photo bucket but they kept compressing my images during upload and making them look crappy.

Rob, use Dropbox. its uploads its automatically, which is great for backing them up, and you can select them and share. i personally use their Carousel app. give you the share option for a URl or SMS style share.

I use imgur. You can alter the privacy settings further but I believe they are personal (ie not shared without a link) by default as long as you don't check the submit to gallery box. The app should give you a link to the image that you uploaded so it can be shared easily.

Plus imgur.com/r/justrolledintotheshop is awesome without reddits potato interface.

You'll need to log in to post.
