WETTEST JUNE IN N.J. HISTORY According to preliminary numbers compiled by the office of State Climatologist David Robinson at Rutgers University, the average statewide rainfall total for the month of June was 9.20 inches as of this morning, making this June the wettest on record. Here's the breakdown:

Small village in upstate NY got severely flooded by a creek that flows into the Mohawk. Mobile home swept away. Occupant missing.

Then we had the big train wreck. Not sure if rain had anything to do with that.

We got the rallycross in after all, even though clouds rolled in near the end & we actually stopped with one car short due to lightning. Stopped at a rest area for a few coming home when I-70 had 1" of standing water on it.
