I need to mow the “fairways and greens” for the frisbee golf course on our “farm.” I do not own a riding lawnmower.
I *DO* own two identical, expendable mowers, and an expendable Land Rover Disco with working A/C, radio, and cup-holders.
Mrs. Poop seems to think tying both mowers to the back of the disco for the fairways, and tying a mower to the pole for each basket and letting it “propel itself” in decreasing size circles (or increasing, to a 30’ putting circle) is a horrible idea, but can’t give me DETAILS as to why.
I’ll post success/failure pics/story when it happens.
What's the worst that could happen?
Just don't do anything this guy wouldn't do and I think you'll be fine.

RIGHT!? Although...the temptation to set the cruise and ghost-ride for style points will be strong. Can you even set cruise at 5mph though?
For some reason, Caddyshack comes to mind. Could be an epic failure. I think most cruise controls don't work until 25 mph or so.

If you can make the computer THINK that you're moving at more than 5mph, you can set the cruise at whatever ground speed you want!
5mph sounds a bit high for two push (pull) mowers rigged up to be towed...How fast (or slow) is idle in 4-low? Seems that might be more appropriate.
it's slow.. like walking speed
My carefully planned plan is to affix “Mower A” to the ladder on the back of the disco, and affix “Mower B” behind mower A, slightly overlapping mower A’s path for a 30-something-inch overall “deck width.”
Hang on...I’ll draw a diagram....
I mean, I’m not *saying* I’m the next Basquiat (just kidding, I’m the next Basquiat.)

It’s hard to tell from your blueprint (on my phone), but are you planning to unhook the whole setup every time you need to turn around?
You have the big property and no big mower? You need a big mower.
LIARS! BLASPHEMERS!
Say what you will about me, but never speak ill of the plan. The plan is good. The plan is rock-solid!

“Mister Charlie” cuts and bails the hay. Fairways & greens, not so much.

Won't work. Waaay too safe inside the disco. I'd try pulling the mowers with a full highway touring motorcycle.
I think you might be better off 'pulling' the mowers from the front of the disco, that way it's more convenient and you can see what you are doing without turning your head. just bolt the kid's soccer goal frame to the front of the disco, and then let the mowers ride backward yet in front of the disco by hanging the handles from the top post bar of the goal. Like this:
As drawn, both plans are missing one crucial element for success...Beer.

I thought that alcohol was just a given with poopie
The original plan has a bracket. Seems well thought-out in that regard.
This can't not work.
I came here to acknowledge your Dead Kennedy's reference. And to support you in your lawn mowing adventure. Sounds like an awesome idea to me!
