Holy crap. My childhood is dropping like flies.
Just looked at the link and then at some of the other obits so far for 2016.......and yet, Abe Vigoda trundles on.......
In reply to orphancars:
And closing in on his 95th birthday (Feb 24).
Betty White turned 94 over the weekend. She was in a NFL promo skit made recently.
Been a pretty rough winter thus far. For what it's worth, at least it wasn't cancer. Not to steal thunder from Glenn Frey, but how many of you knew that Kirk Douglas was still alive at 99 years old? And Keith Richards also keeps rolling along.

Exactly. The ones you expect to die continue to live. It's insane.

I just watched some of the sequential (7 hour!!) version of the Godfather that was on HBO on Sunday... that guy looked old THEN!
Sucks about Glen:
(this picture was taken about 10 years after The Godfather was shot)
SWMBO insisted (not that I was objecting) on going to see the History of the Eagles tour when they came to town and played- to a packed house, the most full I've EVER seen the place- at Rupp Arena last summer. For some reason they (the band, or at least their people) had insisted that the air conditioning NOT be turned on for the show, which meant that it was hotter than balls in the packed arena until they finally relented and allowed the AC to be turned on. SWMBO literally said, "We really should see them now, they may not be around much longer..."
It was a great show, and now I'm even more thankful she was so insistent that we should go.
I have a bucket list. The rock stars I want to see before THEY kick the bucket(not a list of long livers since most of them have lived abusive life styles). I saw Paul McCartney last year; he's 74yo. Frey and I guess the rest of the Eagles would be in the same age range. The sound track to my whole life is dying off.
The heat seems imply he went south. I'd guess he went north but either way, there's a new kid in town.

Right down the road from me. About the only thing that still has Winslow on the map.
Regardless of whether you liked their music or not, it was undeniable that they wrote good music.
Even though it is one of their more mellow songs, I Can't Tell You Why has a great solo by Glenn: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q6yyWKzPBCM
Now I need to go watch the Eagles Documentary. I have heard nothing but good things about it.
