Anybody else digging this show? I wouldnt call myself a Batman fanboy but I think they did a good job approaching it from a different angle.

Yeah, I'm enjoying it. Good actors, storyline seems pretty good (although they're certainly rushing to get ALL of the future Batman characters involved right from the start), and has a nice edge to it, kind of like the recent movies. I like the premise as well, I agree it's a good angle.
I've been DVRing it. I'll wait 'till I have one or two more then binge watch instead of working on my car.
I have caught the first couple episodes on Hulu and thought it was better than I expected. Hopefully it keeps it up.
Definitely has been done well so far, but like previously mentioned, they seem to be in too much of a hurry to get the cast of characters accounted for. Thumbs up from me so far.
SWMBO and I are enjoying it so far. And for me that's half the battle, finding shows we both really get into.

My cousin is the president of FX Networks.
When you own multiple market segments, cancellations are part of the strategy to develop revenue streams.
If you leave it on the airwaves too long, you undermine the cable sales. Too much cable, and you can't make anything on online venues. DVD sales are impossible if it is available for free online, and also impact international first run broadcasts.
Etc., etc., etc.
Producers of modern shows look to develop a 15 year revenue stream. There are a LOT of slices to that pie.

I'm just going by what I know. They've cancelled quite a few good shows that didn't get a chance. Firefly, Wonderfalls, and Almost Human are just a few.
I don't doubt it's because of money, that's all they're in the business to make.
