That thing looks twitchier then Steve Buscemi.
As far as grassroots... you might want to check the prices of 356's these days...
I wonder if it will wheelie?

It is flared.
Sickness. God, I need to be wealthy.
Anyway, the footprint of that thing reminds me of the cars in Atari 2600 Indy 500:
I'm guessing the handling characteristics are very similar, too--switch ends in a nanosecond.
I want to build something equally crazy.
Take equal parts modified Meyers Manx and modified 993 Turbo engine
Mix liberally and instantly die.
Keep it on the sand and hopefully you would be sufficiently lacking in traction to stave off dying for a few seconds.

No way, it's getting 13 inch wide slicks and fender extensions wide enough to cover them...

I didn't mean to indicate that 356's were grassroots priced. More of the, if any one of us won the lottery and had nothing but money to burn, we'd probably build something this ridiculous.
Except maybe figure out how to shoehorn in a turbo charged LS motor hooked to a 911 transaxle to officially piss off the Porsche purists.....

sawzalls are pretty effective shoehorns.. and the effects of using one would really piss off the purists..
I hate you for putting this in my head!
Actually my wife hates you, I think its awesome and will be heading over to samba right now.

I think a 993 Turbo engine swapped into just about anything is pretty awesome. I mean, would you take a 993 swapped Aztek? Damn straight you would.
I think I could stick my head in that turbo piping. Impressive.
You know you're running a big enough turbo when you have to source drainage piping for the intake.
I bet it does killer donuts. Literally.
Clarkson's pithy phrase "...going through the Pearly Gates backwards and on fire" keeps going through my head looking at this...
