arrgghh system update reqd!!!!! I'm not going to make the MX-5 race
I need to stay away from the front of the pack for the first lap. Last 2 races charging to the front has ended poorly and I have to fight back into contention from last place.
Well that was.... interesting. 
I have a feeling that i'm way faster than my MX5 performance would suggest. Had a rash of bad luck at the beginning... got punted, then the pit defaulted to comfort tires for some reason...
All in all, made for 4 pits in the first 6 laps, and i think 6 pits total. UGH.
I'll make up for it next week. I think i've got the setup on that car pretty decent.
Now.... i'll share the Celica. Who wants to drive it?

This. I was on the bad end of scuffling both times. I may even just not take off at the "Go" next race.

I tried that in the SBC race since I was gridded on the back row. Still got caugt up in too much traffic. Turns out 3 wide is no way to go the s curves. Got damaged on the first lap.
In the MX5 race I got bit by the comfort tires too, but I was already a lap down due to my front straight guard rail encounter. Oh well, there's always next week.
I think i'm pretty resigned on the SBC races, unless someone gives me some magic suggestions on what to do with that stupid car... it's completely undriveable. I think the best i got that entire race was a 1:57.

I can share these because our car is so different from the others haha Height 0/0 Spring rates 6.0/3.0 Dampers 3/3, 3/3 Sways 1/2 Camber 1.0/2.0 Toe 0/0.45
That was just for this week's race. I reset it to defaults every week and retune but this is a pretty good tune overall and tames the weight transfer some.

Yeah, another interesting race. I could see all of you this time! except for Apex...again.
The SBC race was.......yeah...switched some things around and tuned some more so I wanted to see how it'd finally do, started off good, got my way to second, started to catch up to aircooled...then slapped the wall on lap 4 which I had to pit, got my place back then and kept it going consistently until last corner last lap my server decided to boot me!..wonderful, like I said, Brad not sure what you want to do on that and thanks Mini for the vote!
MX5...I guess I got it setup right.
overall, another fun night, a couple new drivers made it interesting, certainly would make for some great replays, I wanna see em along with the photos.
Scott, I hope you were on your way towards the pits when I violently rear ended you at the hairpin in the SBC race. By the time I figured out you were going so slow it was too late so I just hit you nice and square. I'll have to watch the replay just to see the collision.

Nick... you are going to get credit for second. If it would have been midway through the race it would be a different story because there would be so much race left to complete. I honestly didn't even notice that you dropped until everyone was saying you got screwed in the lobby.
Just a general apology to apex, Scott, and TJ. I know we banged doors a few times in the first laps of the SBC race. I was trying as hard as I could to keep it clean, but the Mini would just understeer wide; and then with the Comfort tires using the brakes just made the push worse.
Apex, I don't want you to think we are picking on you about the abs. It shows you have it on (I'll post a pic to show you). That is why I asked, I believe you when you say it is off... It is hard to have confidence in the server when you are invisible to some people.

I can't wait to watch the replay. There was some good racing in both races. I was hounding Scott in the MX5 race, literally I was looking through his rear window to see the road... then I tapped the inside wall and played pinball off a few others. That decided my race. It is a hell of a transition going from the Mini to the MX5.

Yeah, I had busted suspension on both front corners, was trying to stay off line at the hairpin for the faster guys, you got me hard enough that it fragged both rears AND the engine, but it didn't have much of an effect on what was left of the lap. I've got the VW set up with too much understeer anyway, although it is very easy to drive. That did make hitting the walls all the more embarrassing.
In for replays and pictures! I want to see how pimp my MX5 looks to others!
I think it'll look better on a daylight track, though.
I forgot to share the Celica last night, i'll try to remember to get it out there tonite. I need some serious help with that thing.

I'm gonna start the trash talking and say that i'm going to be mid-pack next race, instead of battling for last with realminidriver.
I still want to know who the white car i t-boned in the first or second lap of the SBC race was.

The FWDs on comfort tires are tricky; once you've got a line, there's not much you can do to alter it, so fair warning to anyone attempting a pass on the outside.
MX-5 was fun, I went it cold and had a good dice with Brad as he describes, once he vanished I was more consistent and smooth than I've ever been in the game, not blazingly fast but enough to reel in Apex for the last few laps. I know I'm not the only one who had a chance to catch someone before the laps were up, maybe we should consider extending the end-of-race delay to the full 3 minutes so everyone can finish out their race, good or bad?
I did have the ABS off, I dont know whats going on there. It also said that I was on comfort tires when I was not from what you said. I dont know what is going on with the servers, but I never had problems before the last race.
I really, really need to practice more in the future. I made a few tweaks to the elan that made it more manageable towards the end of warmup tonight. I just have to be careful feeding in throttle on turn exit and modulating so I dont just do a burnout.
I was able to do some pretty quick laps in MX5 in the race, but I think I need to start thinking about tuning the suspension. All I have played with is the camber and not much. If I had been on pace from the beginning (practice) I might have done better.

That is us true for me too. The only adjustment I can make mid-corner is to mash the gas and go straight into the outside wall.

I like this idea. Of course I wouldn't be one of the ones waiting around for 3 minutes for people like me to finish.

Brad-thanks a lot. Yeah, that only makes sense, I just can't believe it happened, and on Chimp, he had to do papers for school....he wasn't too happy on that. Stupid school interferring with his GT5 racing!

Celica...i'll help your poor Celica out! lol you describing t boning that white car made me chuckle. Your MX5? you should really see the rest in daylight haha I can say it's awesome though! Chimp and I seem to have all the weird color combos, you should see the rest of my cars lol
I must have hit that guy at about 60-70mph, and he was at a dead stop against the wall. I'm SURE they noticed. I hit them hard enough i got a 5 second penalty.
