You can ask a question about the most random thing and get advice, tips, help, etc. People come here and get advice about everything, business, relationships, jobs, relocating, etc. and it is helpful advice, usually from people that have been there, done that. I don't ever remember a question that was not answered, anyone ever had one?
I also think that it helps that this forum doesn't have a bagillion sub forums that never get used making it difficult to ever find anything...
search is the one issue and google covers that sorta okish...

The bar promptly explodes. No bar can contain that much awesome.

I have an 86 Bronco 2 that took me two years to find. The lack of sensibility in my quest for such an unloved vehicle makes it a perfect GRM topic!
For the possibility two of you out there who like Bronco 2s mine is a dark walnut metallic in Eddie Bauer trim. Custom ordered with a five speed and manual transfer. I am the second owner and it has just over 118k miles on it....awesomeness in full bloom:-)

My "please identify this crotch fungus" thread got very few hits.

Waaaaaaiit a sec..
I just noticed the coincedence of lack of those sorts of posts and that search here sucks.
Maybe not so coincedental.... Well played, GRM, well played.

Oh yeah. Did that ever clear up? I meant to ask.

This thread needs a hotlink to complete it.
Done.
So much win, that has been so forgotten...I has a sad
When I bought my new WRX, I went to NASOIC or whatever it is called to learn up. The first and only thread I read was about engine break in methods. The OP was asking if he should follow the factory recommended approach or just drive the car really hard because he heard that will seat the o rings better. I read like 28 responses and not a single person seemed to know or care that he meant piston rings when he said o rings. Oh well. When I have a car related question it gets asked here. When I have a non-car related question it gets asked here.
4cyl, I read the first two pages of that and laughed so hard my eyes are still watering. So Awesome!!!
Somehow I missed that when it was going on.

You just cost me like an hour of my life. If I tell people I read that for an hour, they would call the men in the white coats. Thanks, GRM forums.

I just voted that up. I'll finish it at work tomorrow instead of trolling.
My gawd that thing was funny! Billy Mays really got nailed hard. I almost brought it back to life...
I can honestly say that grm has been the best (maybe worst from someone else's point of view) thing in my car life.
Since that fateful day when I read about the challenge, my car obsession has grown exponentially, to the point where I'm essentially on the forums all day at work, in between cars, during cars, etc. Great people, great topics, great knowledge base, great censor substitutions (Bob Costas is my favorite one, probably, it really messes up some sentences.) great everything. thank you all!
oh, wait, did things just get serious for a second? I'm very sorry about that, I'm gonna go read the denny, andy and a clown thread for an hour while my wife mean mugs me to get me off the computer=]
