I saw this little critter this morning. It is pretty, but it's camo failed.
Yeah, there's some freaky looking moths around. Reminds me I haven't seen a luna moth yet this year. They are about the coolest moth ever.
I keep finding these on my tire. They are definitely attracted to Michelins specifically. The other car is clean.
^^this things showed up this year. Pretty cool looking, supposedly they eat other pests and leave people alone
the wheel bugs are still my favorite though. Don't let them bite you, but they'll eat all kinda bugs around the property
Wheel bugs are pretty awesome. And yes, if they jab you with that sharp pointy thing and inject some flesh-dissolving toxins into your body, you will know about it.

That's a sphinx moth/hawk moth/hornworm moth of sorts, more speficially it looks like a small eye sphinx moth from the pattern on the top wing but there's a lot of little sphinx moths with similar color and patterns in the Eastern US. The eye spots on the lower wing are normally an easier identifier.
We love bugs and just got back from a long camping trip with lots of cool sightings. My favorite is probably the giant millipedes. Native to Ohio, they were not to be found last year when we went to Beaver Creek State Park but they're back in force this year. It's only a few miles from the nasty train derailment we had so I was worried they'd been poisoned forever. Maybe it was just a temporary setback.
