Package out headed to NC.
Finally got to the post office today. One of you lucky fools will have a new box of problems by next Wednesday. If the USPS is allowed to do their jobs.
Whoever is my gift giver made it good
This is for sure getting put on the shelf, fun fact good buddy of mine is featured in this issue
One of the helpers of box unpacking.
Many many goodies. Magazines, double sided tape, silicone compound (used some today), road side fix in a bag, what I believe is a excacto knife handle, gauges, eat n tool (went right into my work lunch box, pocket guide that is super cool, a "box of really sharp things"
Face mask, a Charlie Brown mug that got claimed by the bride, fuel valve, a landing spot light I need to play with, some felpro seals I need to take a look at, a couple watches I'd love to know the story behind, a ccscc place card that went on the shelf.
The survival kit went right into my motorcycle bag! Brabham I will start reading tonight. A inn recharger, right angle drill adapter, and a item I am unsure what it is
Whoever got me, I want to say thank you very much, made me and the better halfs week.

Minor Confession:
Had I realized that it was double sided tape, it would have stayed in the shop!

What's the thing setting next to the right hand drill adaptor?
In reply to Professor_Brap (Forum Supporter) :
I have no idea. That's why it went into the box.
Maybe some kind of dead center for a lathe?

I kinda love that 914 Safari. It gives me ideas for my two yellow parts cars to become one.
If all goes well this should be on it's way to sunny Florida tomorrow morning. USPS tried to tell me they couldn't verify the address. Google maps tells me I can drive it there in 9 hrs 14 mins. I hope USPS can get it there by next week.
Box o love sent to Raleigh yesterday from california
i hope the one I get takes a while as I won't be able to get it until feb....

Glad it not only made it there, but that you enjoy the random contents of my garage that get to live in PA now!
Fun fact about that license plate: I found that when I was replacing the side door of my garage earlier this year. It was hidden in the wall somehow. A literal part of my garage can now be a part of yours.
Happy New Year!
A box arrived from KS today but I'll wait until mine is out before opening it up. Hopefully Monday. Happy new year everyone.
I got my box! LIVE opening now on: youtube.com/playswithcars
Sent out a box today. Changing things up it contains exactly one item, so hopefully it's interesting enough to make up for it's solitaryness.
Sooooo, my box arrived the other night. I suspect shenanigans took place because my GRM secret Santa lives in my town and is a good friend. This allowed for a direct delivery of a VERY heavy box. I'd gone out to get some lumber and wasn't home but TigerMom reported that someone rang the doorbell and ran away.By the time she made it to the door she saw a scampering figure in the dark. So here we go, full garage cleanout occurred
Pretty sure that drawing the letter P is all it takes for hand delivery.
Got it, no plasma cutters or chainsaws.
How about a knife?
No crocodile Dundee a real knife!
That's better.
A small t-shirt. Step daughter claimed.
magnetic wristband and steel flangy doohickey. Weirdly enough the steel doohickey was stuck to the magnet.
Window blinds. Digital tape measure. Some brake seals.
Head gaskets for a 4.3 vortec motor. Magazine. And a sticker that might get me free fuel. It'll definitely add horsepower.
Screwdrivers and a multimeter. Definitely going in the race car trailer.
Nutsert kit. Backup alarm.
GRM companions, a teeny cone, can cookies, and plug wires. Maybe for the above 4.3 but possibly any of a dozen other motors.
Brake pads for a Horizon (and possibly a Rampage) and a ball joint for a Saturn. Truly garage clearing event took place
many tiny cars. A Mazda keychain (I'm a Mazda fan), some LEGO tape, angle finding tool and dice. So many things!
Intake manifold for (I strongly suspect) a 3.0 Duratec motor. Weirdly I actually have one of motors in the fleet. So I'm ready!
Hood pins, oddments, bits, and pieces.
And finally, noshables. And like at the beginning. Stepdaughter claimed the Spree.
Bob, thank you. This was quite the haul....now come over and help me stash it in various garages and workshops.

It is literally the only thing organized in that entire E36 M3 show of a garage.

Yeah, I think I scared the Dancer with how hard I laughed when we got home from Christmas and I read the email telling me I'd gotten you as my recipient. I figured I could pack enough into the box to make up for not having had to shell out the $20 for shipping. I was told leaving it on the doorstep and ordering cookies for delivery so you'd find it when they showed up was going too far...
You're obviously correct on the the intake parts being for the Duratec 3.0. The other parts are mostly random ones that I had sitting around- though you're wrong on the garage cleanout, I still have way too many random parts for cars I don't own any more sitting around in a few totes- a few were re-gifted from previous years' exchanges. I was surprised that I found 2 different Miata Hot Wheels this year. I'm unfortunately starting to run low on DMC ones, so I've cut back to just one variety per box.
I figured someone around your house would be able to wear the shirt- it was much smaller than I had expected when I ordered it. Once she finishes off the Spree (hopefully they're still good) get the plastic bottle back from her- it's good to store garage things in. The tape measure was a Christmas gift from my father-in-law & step-mother-in-law this year... they were quite excited about it and I just smiled and didn't say that I already had one (as well as about a dozen other tape measures). The Dancer needs something like this gift exchange to send out the things she gets from our families that she'll never wear.
Hopefully at least some of the things are useful for you and not just other members of your family!

And a set of coke mirrors and razors. Nice.
