I am collecting parts for my victim, but I blew my ankle up so walking around the garage is almost not possible.... I'll get it out in the next couple of days.

Nice to see some regifting from previous years! I debated getting the harness rewebbed, but ended up using it for garage art and for lashing loads down in the back of the vehicle before passing it along last year. The unidentified objects are dirt bike bead locks.
Putting finishing touches on my outgoing box; should go out this week.
In reply to ae86andkp61 (Forum Supporter) :
Iam glad to know those are beadlocks. I would have pondered long and never guessed. Thank you. I have a similar harness set laying around maybe next year I will send out the pair.
Package away! Target bearing two one zero, range 809,600 yards. Estimated time of arrival at target is Friday 1/5/24.
As it turns out, that post office timing was crucial because when I got home a box in a box with a note in one box was waiting:
So I took in the glorious artwork:
Noted the approval:
And tucked in to examine the spoils!
First up, a license plate, koozies, fine beverages (taste test pending), a jump rope, a pulley, an extraordinarily sharp compass, a Toyota emblem, and the actual style of safety glasses I use because every elderly machinist I've met still has both eyes:
Next a selection of fine reading and multi tools, a large valve, a collet of some sort, and strangely branded chap stick:
Matchbox cars, mood lighting, sockets, an emblem which I lack the geographical and vehicular prerequisites to possess, and a voltmeter from the mesozoic period :
Yet more magazines, stickers, a cast somethingorother, and posters of the pinnacles of 90s domestic vehicle styling:
A box of clamps and fittings and such, more license plates, an actual pilot's log and a book by Neil Peart??
The log is mostly uneventful, which I assume is the goal in recreational aircraft:
Thank you sir and happy new year!

And these things. ???
Holy crap! Is that the Mazda sticker from a 2nd Gen RX-7??? I'd recognize that ANYWHERE!
As to "those things", I do believe that's the "remote cable to winch" plug from a Warn winch (not sure if other makes are similar). I've yanked one of of its socket before and had to make a repair.

I am glad to see the package arrived safely. I will say this much, many of these things are from previous years boxes including the interior box. The really pointy compass is apparently a "Trammel" used for layout work. I acquired it from the Local Habitat for Humanity re-store and never could figure out a use for it. Maybe you can find need of it. I hope the beverages are good, I have yet to try that particular flavor. Happy New Year.

Wow, I wasn't expecting that to land until Tuesday. Good to see everything arrived in one piece.
Of note, the harness is expired, but could still have other uses. And I forget what the things in the last picture are, might be in the thread from last year or the year before when I received them. Water proof, heavy gauge wire nuts always seem to come in handy.
Glad you enjoyed it.
Ummm...
In other news, my box will deploy tomorrow, barring catastrophe. No stalking, no nothing, just straight up box. I'm trying some shipping stealth, however. My earlier packages seem to be delivered from orbit, catapult, plane crash, etc. Hoping a Q-ship-type package works.

For a second I was like..when the berkeley did I draw a pizza, and further examination reveals- I didn't draw a pizza at ALL! That's a good box.
Finally got around to packing some junk from my garage into a box and it will be in the mail tomorrow.
I 100% forgot about this. Then a box showed up on my doorstep
I have my victim. Google Street view helped me decide what to chuck into his box
I dropped my box off at the post office before noon on December 29, and it was scheduled to arrive on the 2nd. Tracking shows it in Springfield MA eight hours later, but it hasn't moved since, and it still has a long journey ahead of it.
I'm starting to think that maybe the rattle wasn't ok.
I got my box today and it's awesome beyond measure! It deserves a huge lengthy pic thread which will happen tomorrow.
My box is still awaiting a cool few pieces for my victim, it will go out shortly as well

Greg. I made an oops and edited your post with my "GRM-Fu" powers instead of replying as I had intended. I didn't realize I made the mistake until I clicked "post" and I'm afraid I cant go back and re-edit it back to it's original state. Sorry about that (I was excited about that Mazda air box sticker).
You'll need to log in to post.
