An air filter for Mercedes SLK's and apparently something Toyota as well :)
Stickers! My son claimed the Giga Pudding one.
A pretty heft c-clamp that has somehow managed to be bent, curious about that story on that one! An air cleaner lid that looks similar to the one I used to have on my X1/9, and an intermittently working tachometer :)
An Illinois license plate, a 6 lug wheel adapter, a shop vac filter (?) and a bag of assorted bearings & rods
And what looks like a trunk lock assembly, and a wrench holder :) Thanks! Looks like the one I sent may be to it's intended victim Wednesday according to tracking :)
The c clamp was bent while I was trying to rebuild x1/9 calipers. I got the piston cocked and I just kept cranking (that normally works, right?)
Yes it is a shop vac filter, should fit basically every shop vac out there. It just doesn't fit my new shop vac. Boo.
I needed the 6 lug adapter to make my chain driven diff also have a brake disk for my challenge car. However, you can't really buy adapters in packages of one... Can I suggest you make it into a sweet clock?
A box arrived..
Older Land Rover head unit
Nice hodge podge of items, not sure what the oil filter would fit but cool locking gas cap. Haven't seen one of those in a while
Overall pic of the loot, Toyota grill emblem, 4th gen 4runner shift knob, not quite sure on the weighted manual shift knob, light stalk for a Porsche guessing Cayenne, couple Stacey David dvds, wire brush, plastic casters, and various other odds and ends in which my wife loved the rubber gloves on the kitchen counter. lol
Thanks so much Micheal!

My BIL at the post office assures me that Box #1 is most likely just sitting at the bottom of a bin in Springfield waiting for some incompetent postal worker (Doh!) to reach down deep and lift it up and out to send it on its way. I hope that if it does ever arrive at its destination, it gets posted here because it does have some cool stuff in it.
Here at work I shipped some stuff back to a customer in Taiwan a handful of years ago, FedEx, never got there. They claimed insurance, I replaced with new stuff. Almost 2 years later FedEx driver comes in with a very beat-up box. Says they were doing maintenance in IN and found this box had fallen off a conveyor belt and fell behind a machine. I ended up just sending it to Ms Customer like here's a bonus.
Last night Box #2 had a quick rendezvous with Box #1 at the USPS Springfield Regional Distribution Center. But it was short lived and Box #2 has moved on to East Granby Connecticut, presumably waiting for a flight out west.
Box #1, sadly, remains in situ, at the bottom of a dusty bin in Springfield Massachusetts.
Barring any unforeseen circumstances over the upcoming stages, it seems unlikely that Box #1 can recapture the lead in this year's Cannonball Baker Sea-to-Shining-Sea GRM New Years Game Memorial Trophy Dash from Box #2.
Well done, USPS...
A box arrived from Georgia this morning, having survived the mix of rain and snow here over the last 24 hours.
Someone with my level of artistic talent :P
Magazine with a Canadian-built cover car, a water pump of some sort, Krusty the Klown, a pack of steel wool pads, and a rope-like thing
An expired centre net, a smart light switch, a couple of centre caps and a multi-tool
A nice shirt, that'll actually fit me, a toque, Flowmaster stickers, more centre caps, Sonic the Hedgehog, some wet wipes, a horse shoe, and some whiskey that wasn't stolen by Canadian customs :D
A trailer alignment kit, G-Force stickers, an Oldsmobile master tech patch, volt gauge, misc air fittings, caribeaners, an ignition module(?), another wet wipe, and a couple of metal brackets
My son has claimed Krusty, Sonic, and the stickers.
Thanks from the Great White North :D
In reply to OLDYLR :
Peak inside the Auto World catalog, there's magnets in there. The light stalk is for a 955 Cayenne. Oil filter is for a 4.6 Cobra.
In reply to P5Racer :
I recognize those metal brackets! Those are some of my prototype drawer handles from when I made a full ser for a pair of dressers a few years ago. Totally forgot I sent those out way back, neat to see them still out there!
In reply to OLDYLR :
Ha I recognize some of those, the emblem and shift knob are off my old 4runner! as is the CV nut cover (the black thing in the plastic from toyota still). Gas cap is off the travelall IIRC.
Now I feel a bit silly for not engaging in any box art or japes: the one I sent was just a plain box on the outside.
Inside, of course, I included the REAL results to the 2004 elections, but on the outside it's just plain.

I keep saying that I'm going to get The Dancer to do some art on the outside of the box I send, but it never works out to remember to ask her with enough lead time for her to do anything. So I end up just drawing poorly (literal stick figures...) on the outside of mine if I think to draw anything at all. I think it was last year I wasn't able to because I had to switch boxes at the last minute...

And today I learned that I suck at detective skills for figuring out usernames! Glad y'all enjoyed it!
A box arrived for me from the wilds of Virginia. Unboxing to commence once I get my act together and send out my box (had to deal with some storm water in the basement today)...
A wild box appears!
I couldn't POSSIBLY guess who it's from.
More as I sort through and ascertain what's going on here.
Been playing this game since 2014 happy I was able to keep the streak. I got my box out before the incoming one arrived, I don't know the last time that happened. 35lbs via UPS because I cannot follow rules and a flat rate box is too restrictive.

I'll admit to being tempted to not follow the rules this year since the main thing I wanted to send out took up so much of the box that I couldn't include as much of other things I'd hoped to. I definitely broke them a ways back when I got one of my local friends as my victim and packed a massive box full of stuff and snuck up and dropped it on his doorstep, rang the bell, and ran off...

Reading through the rules, I only see one that is not just a vague guideline. From post #1:
"This part is mandatory please. It's fun for you to receive a gift, and possibly even to send one, but it's fun for everyone when you share your spoils online so please be sure to post pictures of the gift you received here."
What box to use, detective work, [Anthony's] concern about real names, when it needs to be shipped out or opened are part of tradition, but not mandatory rules.

I know but it's more fun to pretend to be a bad boy.

One of the early years someone sent me a brake rotor. From then on I vowed to win heaviest box at least once. My personal best was 57lbs last year and involved a Honda B Series cylinder head.
a box appeared. Pastrami wanted a smell. followed by - cheese sandwich.
This becomes infinitely funnier momentarily. y'know, I'm not sure how ill ever decode who shipped me this box. I am however going to put on my best detective hat. oE36 M3 hes onto menope, not allergic to cats. a brief overview of the foraging about to commence.license plate, fingerless gloves for when I'm feeling extra sporty, hot wheels (including the vaunted poop king) a warning not to start wild fires....microfibers, what I can only assume is a multi speed bicycle chain, an exhaust port block off plate? Some sort of pressure regulator (im guessing fuel) harbor freights finest hammer, a whole mess of lug nuts and bolts, beer! A cat toy maker, a spark plug....mini muffins, butt rub (or shoulder rub I suppose) a boost gauge, more microfibers a petter solberg .er ..baseball? Card....a10mm hammer, a sick bell and some tassels, what I thought was a Chinese yo-yo but is actually a flag, and...wait...this box is DECEPTIVELY deep...I don't think I wanna put this on my coffee table -a 1997 rx7 bathurst? Wow! Mystery gifter, you really outdid yourself!
