I'm a little late on posting pictures, I blame jobs in general.  Ok, with to the weekend here, let's dig in...

Hmmm... V12. Well it looks small enough for an swap into the Mini.

It's a bit of a project, but should be able to make this work.

Sweet swag...

Project complete... Maybe...

Time for a mid box snack...

Ahh...there it is!

Time to get to work!

Awesome box!

That rotor looks awful familiar. Might've gone out in the first box swap I participated in.

Oh no! Was the (untested but probably still totally viable despite being patently and unfashionably outdated) head unit missing?

The dirty big brake rotor was from some manner of hot rod Porsche 996 or 997. It was gonna become a clock but I found other things to ignore instead, and continued to ignore them for several years.

The Gen 2 Prius, Transit Connect, and E36 M3 were specially curated for GRM forum relevance. I was unable to find anything really Mini-meaningful on short notice, unfortunately.

That tire pressure gauge is, as marked, NFG. It might be FG if the warped lens is removed. I don't have much faith in the Regift Ratchet, nor in the unbranded everyone's-a-winner grade smart watch. But that soldering iron, at least, is confirmed good.

Hopefully at least the jerky survived the trip!

A master cylinder!

I forgot about the master cylinder. That came off a Formula Ford. It's been rebuilt and should be ready to go.

Box received from the GRM satellite office in Lansing, mere minutes before leaving for a week. We opened and took pics. I'll get them posted in a day or two - excellent haul!

Did I get mine out in time? No. Did I get it out via the rules? Also no. Did I get it out within 24 hours of receiving my box? Yes, finally.
Goin to open the one I received and get pictures in the next few days.

Alright, box contents!!

off to a good start..

very cool 1965 Colorado license plate, spark plugs and a hinge, and what I think I recognize as a Prius battery cell..? Hints..

an absolute mess of pretty cool hot wheels, including the motorcycles I always move past. Think my kids will enjoy some o them!!

so much!!
obd2 dongle I'm assuming was a GpS tracker, a cool 3D printer whatchamacallit, clamps straps JB Weld, pliers, books and a giant bearing with 2 inner races(?). I think I missed the boat this year on sending out 10mm sockets what a useful addition.

Got my box last Wednesday.

Finally got mine out Thursday.  I was sick Friday and Saturday, so I finally opened mine yesterday.

Pretty innocuous.  Let's get it open.

Bitchin early 90's mags, including a couple copies of the NSX Owner's Club official magazine.  I'm not sure I'm swanky enough to read those.

Stickers!  One of which will go on my DD immediately (two guesses, first one doesn't count).    And I'm...honestly unsure what the jagged red things are.  Anyone know?

What turned out to be well-packaged adult beverages, which I have somehow lost the picture of.   (Someone is smarter than I am, because the last time I mailed beer I managed to lose half of a box.  Sorry, Patrick)

Well this is cool....

Aw, man, the box was full of cookies.

THE BEST DAMN COOKIES I'VE EVER HAD.

Seriously, I'mma need a recipe.

I bet these aren't actually airpods.

I was right!  Sort of.  One broken airpod, one two dollar bill.  Cool with me - I've got wireless earbuds out the wazoo, but I also have a six-year old with a loose tooth.  He'll love that Jefferson. Also, a CD from a band I really dug in high school.  I'll have to spin it up, it's been a hot minute.

Breaker, breaker.  Breaker.  Some kind of AV gear with a USB cable and two RCA jacks.  And the only Milwaukee tool I own!

Metric wrenches (need a set for the DD go-bag) and a pretty cool card from Burning Man?!  OK.  That's awesome.

Overall, 11/10.  Good job, CrustyRedExpress!

The USPS delivered this masterpiece to the central Colorado yesterday, kiddo and I finally had time to dive in last weekend. Look at this artwork!

I don’t know what future Pollak penned this, but I can’t think of a better message for 2025.

A strong opening-the box is both well packed and useful. Sender must know I’m planning on a shload of body work on my next 2K challenge car.

Ooooh! More 2k Challenge fodder for the upcoming Ricer build. I’d love to pass these on but I’m pretty sure they don’t count against the budget and are actually JDM, sooooo…..

2.5” exhaust coupling? Looks like the next build is gonna be a turbo after all!

But what’s this!? A Box? EVERYBODY SHUT THE berkeley UP IT’S THE PAPER TOWEL!

Amazing. I’ll treasure it and keep it safe in the sacred spot in my tool chest next to the my gold plated Icon rachet.

Hotwheels! More good stalking by the sender-my lasts house was within a block of the Delorean dealership and, as previously noted, I’m an import guy.

Oooooh! Plastic razor blades! These are flat out useful and I haven’t located my stash since the move-thanks sender.

Kerning pic, including excellent stickers and a 3d print of an evil spinny dorito. Many thanks to WVUMTNBKR. This was an excellent box, no notes. I’ll keep the artwork and the paper towel safe until I send both on to the next dork in 2026.

The unicorn sticker is from Mighty Car Mods.  Check them out on YouTube  if you haven't already.

If you have any questions about any of those individual parts, lemme know!

The art work was by my two ladies Lily and Abby.  They are 9 and "almost" 7.

Yesterday, a box arrived!

and inside that box was indeed another box with some good craftsmanship requiring a trip to the garage for a torx bit

inside was a very well packed box and beer in bags which i should have done

a nice collection of stickers, love the Delorean one!

A  great Yugo book that looks interesting, some silicone ties, 2 cans of yummy beer, a set of picks and some cool cars!

even more, a univeral socket, cool keychain, window shade, exhaust whistle, filter for an old Ford, keychain alarm, exhaust clamp and gasket

Couple repair manuals for Miata and Isuzu Rodeo/Troopers

and last but not least, a vodka bag and a freakin turbo with manifold!

Overall, great box, well packed and solid idea using the larger Fed Ex box to stash a lot more stuff!

Thanks psteav!

Got a box from the Southern State of Florida, and it was immediately subjected to a thorough inspection:

And then the inspector broke out the knife:

and asked for some assistance:

He was thrilled with the initial look (exhaust band clamps!):

And then dug deeper:

And found Pay Dirt (someone did some deep stalking on this item wink):

Look at this haul of amazing Hot Wheels !

Note the little hand on the right, I was trying to line them up for a pic, but he was swooping in to reclaim his prize!

MMMMMMMMMmmmmmmm, delicious home made mint and orange Marshmallows!

Some sort of multilayered paint chip thingy?

Soldering gun:

misc. rattle items:

an Awesome Snap On banner for the grosh!

Thanks Mr. Asa for a really great box.  The kiddos and I really enjoyed it !

Call it Tampa Agate, but yep.

Work powdercoats stuff in yellow and black.  The racks never get chipped off.  One day I plan to do some bee themed jewelry with the chunks I've collected.

Very glad the mallows made it and were still good.  Gf used to do a cottage bakery thing selling em.  Now she just does it for fun.

Luckily this arrived mere minutes before a week's departure.  I'm sure something this tempting wouldn't have survived on the porch.  Great art, all sides

Good sign when the contents are trying to exit

Let's see what we have - treasure awaits!

Humorous artifact - the social distance tape measure.  Sad that it extended beyond six feet.

A solid and varied haul

The treats (not shown because they were being consumed) were very tasty!

Hot Wheels  (very cool original Tesla Roadster, Audi Quattro and Shelby Daytona), brake line, unidentified socket tool, handy wire spool, teflon tape (just purchased a roll two days prior LOL), hand cleaner packets, a Mustang model kit that sounds mostly there behind the taped box with something attached to the bottom, a serp belt that will be a game to identfy, tow hook, power strip (needed for the trip so thank you!!), some TPMS valve caps (already installed!), a tow hook to replace the tow hook that I sent this year LOL, and a slew of rubber bands that also came in handy in prep to depart.

The weight contributor, a very nice air tool.

Also the mandatory 10mm that isn't lost yet, and a thoughtful tube of Gorilla Glue for the Glueguy.

No note, so all I can say is thanks to the GRM Satellite Office in Lansing!!
