Just keep it in a dark, cool place. Should be fine for another week or two.

As I do each year for this game, I keep a box in the garage for times when I find something that I wouldn’t otherwise keep, it goes in the box.  That explains things like the unused bump stops from a long-past project, the AV cables and the 12V extension cord.  The marlin license plate was on a truck purchased this year.  The file was discovered under the spare tire of another purchase.  Lock (no key) and chain were attached to the bed tie down I scrounged at LKQ.  No extra charge for the lock.  Lug nuts replaced at 300k miles from a Silverado.  The Avon bottle and quill pen were regifts since I think they’ve been traveling for a while.  Same with the spark plug sockets.  I got about 20 last year, so a few got passed along.

Lots of random bolts from the Challenge GTI.  Old exhaust stud nuts – 5 came off clean, one in there went to war.  The supposed replacements.  FCP Euro lied.

One funny I spy in the bottom of the box.  Tork paper towel holder master key.  Found in my son’s desk that made it home from the college dorm.  No idea why or how but apparently they were set if they needed extra paper towels.

Glad the 10mm made it.  That would have been tragic irony.

The contents of my box! A nice hat and a Corvette racing t-shirt (unfortunately too small for me.) Audi/VW brake pads (new!) A air pressure regulator and switch. (Mrs. Shadeux wants me to make a lamp out of that. Ok...) A virginal 15/16" socket, some stickers, hilarious Bad Parking cards, (which will be deployed) and an absolutely boss foldable weapon, prefect for road rage defense. I mean, this thing is heavy duty and even has a serrated edge! A Rubiks cube (wasted on me) and a large burnt cookie. A smoothie maker, and various other treasures! Oh, and a Nickelback CD? Anyway, thanks for the Box 'O Stuff!

Glad you liked the box. The Nickelback CD was in a head unit that showed up in the box I received last year. The lamp idea for the compressor parts is inspired - I've done "art projects" for a couple of boxes I put together in the past, and that would be a cool kind of steam-punk use for the stuff. The Corvette racing shirt was from the Daytona 24 a few years back ...

I was further inspired when I thought, "well, it already has a switch"   This place link has all sorts of crafty things for lamps and such. Thanks again!

I will give my sender credit: The box is ingenious. I'm going to have to use this next year.

Excellent use of a flat-rate box!

It was packed very well, too.

Just look at all the glorious crap!

It looks like that's maybe a digital tach? I could see using that in the Fryin' Miata rebuild. There are some pressure gauges (which will likely make it into my drawer of gauges that I keep for when I randomly need one for an air tank), some tools, some stickers (some of which have already been stuck on toolboxes!), and some car parts that I honestly can't identify.

This gives me so many ideas for next year, too! Awesome!

Yes, that's a digital tach, and then there are some interior lights and switches from an old NA Miata, the lights were so that you could actually see if you dropped something in the footwell lol There is a "smart" light switch that you are supposed to be able to control with Google or Alexa or somebody, but I wasn't smart enough to figure it out.  The box is a legacy box that I got last year, and just added some stickers to the outside.  Glad you enjoyed it!

Ahhh, right on, thanks! That tach definitely needs to go in my NB then. I especially liked the gussets in the steel box. Y'know, for reinforcement. That's important.

A good amount of this box will be staying with me. Of course we did just have that thread where I bemoaned having so much stuff, but I hate missing out on tool opportunities!

I get the exhaust clamps and the seat belt brackets, but what's that long stamped piece with the hole and slot in the middle?

Completely random sink faucet base that wasn't used but looked too cool to throw away laugh  There were also some brackets from my Exocet that I have no idea where they were supposed to go surprise  Glad you found the Dnipro Express sticker under the label, had to carry on the good work of Sir Bill!

Got some pretty good stuff in mine, lots of fun stickers, a nice box, various Subaru and scion related stuff (which is great since my friend loves scion) and some much needed windshield wipes lol. Just got my box sent out on Saturday so should be on it's way by now.

I never did figure out who you were (but with 1 post now I get it lol).  But I found your RX stuff online with the Subaru so that gave me a theme.  Glad to see the random Scion stuff from my early Scion days will get used.  And I have three of those Husky bins for costumes.

Oh hell yeah I got the Angry Box!!

Thanks Wally for keeping it going! I'll have to add to its pedigree.

Plus it was full of stuff, including every possible 10mm socket you could think of, those hilarious dear warning whistles, a sweet Penske hat with various signatures, and some baked beans candies that wife was disappointed did not taste like beans.

And the NY swag! Love the ceramic coffee cup!

Thanks Wally! Happy New Year everyone

A minty fresh and undamaged box from Idaho has made it's way to Massachusetts. I sense the work of our Antihero and his bride Saxyhero. Let's get after it!

First impression is that's a full box right there!

The bag had FOUR awesome t shirts.  "Swear Words & Inappropriate Content", "Common Sense Apocalypse Survivor", " Having Fun with a capital FU" and "Stupid Should Hurt" laugh  These will be worn with great pride.

Under the shirts we found a couple of nice Hot Wheels, a drum head, a guitar string and a super cool person of snow that Saxyhero made.  (The ladies in the 11GTCS home have claimed this and will add it to their extensive collection!) Finally, a sealed limited edition CD from one of the man himself's bands!   I'll have to pop this into the CD player and let it rip soon.

The final layer was a pristine and amazingly complete Ford Econobox radar detector including the original packaging, cords and a zip up storage pouch. Also a 1970 to 1983 Cadillac Haynes service manual.  Not sure there's room in the garage for a land yacht but I'll give it a look for sure.

Thanks again Antihero and Saxyhero for putting together an awesome box, it's always fun to go through the things.   Big thanks to Hoser Racing for stepping up for St. William of Hungary this year as well, we all appreciate the effort.

I guess it's my fault he's here. I don't expect him to post much, but he *really* wanted to do the GRM NY Game this year, so I made him register before I gave him any details.

When he starts his Caterham/Lotus build, I'm hoping his love of photography and high CAD nerd-dom will inspire him to keep a thread updated.

He's also the only other official member of my Challenge Team, and appears in a photograph in that build thread, "helping" the build move along.

Found a box from Birmingham, AL outside my garage tonight (our mail shows up at weird times)

Starting off with some stickers and a padded flame thingy...

which unfolded to reveal more stickers and many paint stirrers

Uncovered a bunch of scrap steel, and a distributor of unknown origin

Hints of some southern foodstuffs and much random metal...

Hot wheels

Whistles?

Looking forward to trying these (unfortunately, some of the biscuit mix escaped)...

And finished up with more stickers, random reflectors, a gasket, and a wheel cylinder.

Good variety of stuff - I'll find uses for some of it... Thanks!
