I hope Brady throws like one touchdown and the Pats win 7-0. The only reason I want them to win is I picked them in the pick'em game. That and I gotta hope Spiller doesn't have a big game.

Yeah, but you've got a bye this week. So in a way it's good because you kept someone else from having them, even though they didn't do any good for you this week.
Really, we should all be terrified of Moparman. He's over 100 points already with 250+ player minutes left. This could be a 200 point week for him. Luckily, a win is a win no matter how bad it is, but if week 1 is any indication, that's a strong team.

Confused on the bye week thing. Does that mean none of my points count, or is the whole thing a Bracket elimination type thing? I really have no clue what I'm doing.
Logic for having Ben in QB spot and T.Y. Hilton in WR was "SURELY Pburg will DESTROY the Titans, and with no RBs worth a E36 M3, we'll be forced to go to the air. And SURELY the Dolts will DESTROY Oakland. Not sure what Palmer and Fitz will do against the rams though."
Oops.
Foster better come hard in the berkeleyin paint tomorrow.

With only 7 teams in our league, someone sits out every week. This week was your turn.

So are my points dropped, or is it a bracket/elimination thing?

You weren't up against anyone this week, so your points just sort of didn't happen. Next week you'll face off head-to-head against another team and someone else will sit out. The "season" will progress like a regular NFL season. We'll face off head-to-head against each other and in the final weeks there will be a "playoff" for the top four teams (I think. Not sure exactly what our playoff situation is). Playoffs is where fantasy football is tricky, because they usually take place the last two weeks of the regular season. You want players who are on teams battling for playoff spots, not teams coasting in. If you've rode Peyton Manning's arm to wins all season, and he's sitting out the last two weeks because Denver is 14-0 and has their playoff spot locked up, that doesn't really help your fantasy team.

And remember this year with games every thursday, lineups have to be locked by gametime on Thursday. And with out league being somewhat small, there's something to be said for creatively playing the waiver wire. With only 7 teams there's ALWAYS going to be starting caliber players on waivers. Maybe your opponent's starting QB is hurt, and his regular backup is on a bye week. Maybe you pick up the best five QBs from the waiver wire just to ride the pine on your team so your opponent can't have them. Or maybe he'd be willing to trade something of value to you for one of them.
Having the best players on your team is an important part of the equation. Keeping the best players OFF of your opponent's team is job 2.

because Peyton Manning
I'm dying at running back with Chris Johnson being a bust again this year and David Wilson apparently being a bust also. I took an early lead but the game went back and forth Sunday. All the good starting rbs are on bluej's team.

really? more so than Yahoo? what amazing platform do you have for a reference because ESPN is much better imho than yahoo, then once you take into consideration the steaming pile of horse turd that is the yahoo mobile FFL app, it's not even close..
In reply to bluej:
Yahoo's is actually miles better, especially this season. Yeah, last year they blew chunks, but this year Yahoo has the slickest FF setup I've ever used, and I've been doing it for 17 years. My biggest gripe with ESPN is that they hide the points scored so much. And the horrible matchup screens. And the league pages. Pretty much all of it, actually.
And the official NFL app was a turd on game day. Thanks Verizon!
thats twice now Brady has left me shaking my head...And I guess some of that Eagles chatter in the preseason was actually right. Gonna have to rethink some of my bench/active decisions...
