I usually change mine whenever I get a new car or bike. 

However, the tragic and sudden death if Nicky Hayden earlier this year hit me real hard.

It'll likely stay for a good long while.

When I first saw the new avatar, I thought it said LEGO and I was confused. I need to wear my readers more often.

Same car, same avatar. Maybe I'll update it if anyone takes photos at an autocross and gives them away again, that pic is over 10 years old.

Maybe we could allow bigger avatars with the new layout? They're looking relatively tiny now.

Gotta right click the image (or long-click on mobile) and select view image. That opens it in a separate tab/window and you can grab the image address from there.

Nope, just tried. The board software auto scales the image, rendering the animated gif into a single frame. Doh. I miss my old avatar:

 

 Am I the only one seeing the animated avatar?  (x-rays, devil horns, More, I'm, more METAL, than, you) 

On the record I have zero issues with bouncing anime breasts.

GIFs within a post display normally, but avatars are uploaded and not hotlinked, which (at least for now) limits the display to the first frame of the GIF. I would imagine that it may be possible to change this with the forthcoming pic upload feature planned for phase two of the board upgrade, but I don't have any inside info on that. Stay tuned.

I've had the same avatar for over ten years and don't intend to change. I'm proud of it. You know who I am, and like me or not (I don't care), it represents who I am on this forum. I have no intention of changing my identity here.
