Help me price my old truck.

I have no idea what this is actually worth in todays market any ideas.

Good

2001 F250 XL 59K miles, 5.4 engine plugs changed at 20/40/55K. Newish grabber tires with ~5K miles on them. Fully serviced and flushed. Maxon 1 ton liftgate in the back. Does have AC and radio. hauling gears in rear and setup for towing with plugs for all of the major trailer typoes.

Bad.

Speedometer does not work and is disconnected so it does not beep at me. Its a 5.4. The car is like 10 different shades of red. Every single body panel is beat to tar. Bedliner is failing.

Around here, that's maybe $2k. The mileage is super low, but cosmetically it's rough and the speedo doesn't work.

In Ohio that's 2500 because of lack of rust. Guessing probably 1800-2k in a place vehicles don't rust.

59K miles, that's some super low miles!  In with your tripometer, does your truck have an hour meter? Are you low hours plus low miles? If so, accentuate that too.

Newish grabber tires with ~5K miles on them.  Tires are likely $600 for the set at least. Good value, well maintained.

Maxon 1 ton liftgate in the back.  Add $1k. Seek a buyer who needs this.

Its a 5.4.

The car is like 10 different shades of red. Every single body panel is beat to tar. Bedliner is failing.  Explain more. Does it look good enough that a new landscaper, roofer, handyman could throw a logo on it and call it good enough? 

Ask $4,500 obo and see who bites. Drop the advertised price by $400 every week, preferably on Thurs headed into a new payday.

Put it up at 4500. Already had some nibbles. Apparently the lift-gate is a big deal to some people. They are expensive to buy and install.

Hopefully will go soon. If I can get it sold by Wednesday then I have liquidated three cars in one week at a profit or breaking even which makes me very happy.

Sold to a navy guy who is a wood worker. Got 3500 which is not bad considering what I paid 6 years ago and how beat it is. 

Seems like a solid price, I was pretty surprised by some of those first estimates. I think around here, at that mileage, that truck would be asking $4-5k with the front and rear fenders, cab corners, and rockers gone.

Three cars this week. One more to go and I am ready to move into the new place if they accept the offer. Does mean I am back to DDing the Viper for a while though until I find out what I want to get as a daily.

I just need the Cadillac gone. That car is cursed I have sold it like 5 times, several times with a non refundable deposit. Then people always back out. I may put it up on bring a trailer this weekend if the current guy does not come through.

That just leaves the Viper and the thunderbird and my wife's beetle. those can staey I think, I am feeling pretty good about all of this downsizing. I also sold a bunch of parts and motors a bit back when I started this. Garage is looking pretty empty soon.

Lol!  There are days l’ve thought about selling it all and buying something crazy like an Aventador,  but in the end I always just fall back and embrace my car whoring ways.
