I desperately need some help and advice! My wife of 40 years got pissed at me for going on week long hunting trip after I had told her that I was on a business trip. I just didn’t want to hear her nag me about going hunting for a whole week.
Well, she found out where I went, and while I was gone, she got the pink slip for my 1976 914, and she SOLD IT! My neighbor buddy was gardening in his front yard and saw the transaction take place in front of my house. My 914 was mint condition, easily worth $20k. The neighbor friend said the buyer counted out $5,000 in cash on the hood my car, and then she signed the pink slip over to him and he drove off with my car!
I came home from my “business trip” to find my beautiful 914 was gone, and my wife yelling at me that I deserved her cruel revenge!
I am beside myself! I don’t know what I can do. Can anyone tell me if I have any options to get my 914 back? And please don’t tell me to divorce my wife. That won’t get my teener back, and would only reward my wife for her betrayal with more of my stuff.
HELP!
Any ideas?

Start with individual and couples therapy.
Honesty in a relationship is important. What prevents you from getting real about your desire to hunt for a week? It is ok for you to take time for yourself and have a vacation with out her. Covering as a business trip does not invoke trust, now she is wondering what else you have covered up and for good reason.
Was the car in her name? Go to the DMV/police and find out what is legal. If the car is in your name but the title hasn't been signed by you then the car was stolen and your wife is an accomplice. Seems shady.
I say you go full scorched earth. Burn the house down, burn her parent's house down, then her siblings' houses!
Truly hoping this is an April Fools joke. If not and the car was in your name file fraud charges against her and find the new owner. You probably have legal recourse. If not maybe you can compensate him for selling it back. But you also have bigger problems with her now. Again please tell us this is a joke.
I'm hoping April fools.
If not, I think the first thing to do is change your username.
Then, apologize for lying. Then start saving for a new car.
This is your chance to step up to a 914-6 instead.
Note - this assumes the post is an April Fools joke; if not, you definitely need a good marriage counselor here.
Figured it was a joke. If she really did it you would not share on here. Too incriminating. Just keep quiet and hide the body!

Nuthin, What's up with you?
Also my best friend married my cousin on this day 19 years ago. I was prepared to show up at the wedding only to hear it was a joke and that they have got married in Vegas at a prior date.
True story: Or as the Navy says "Dis is a no E36 M3 er". Similar to my original here.
My friend told his live in GF he was going hunting, packed a coupla bags, guns, big orange coat, everything you'd need. Two weeks later the GF is at work showing off pictures of her recent stay at a Dude Ranch. Yep, there's Dave leaning on a fence with his buddy. She asks the coworker, "You know these guys?" Yeah, they were there hitting on everybody!
Saturday afternoon my friend was having a beer and nachos, watching a game. GF walks in, doesn't say a word and drops two pictures on the coffee table, walks away.
Rut-Roh ....
