I got another one. 03 Sonoma V6. Yee haw.

It matches my little black dress.
wait.... what?
Given a sufficient supply of S10s and a large crane, I feel I could replicate that look instantaneously.

Now we have a paint scheme to use. Imagine that black mini-truck with some snakeskin racing stripes

Yeah, I noticed that from the SPID sticker. Looked up the RPO and it just says "chassis package - sport". Has a nice rear sway bar and a nice stance. Actually handles quite well.
Do you know what the ZQ8 gets different from the non ZQ8s?
Two other nice RPO codes I found - G80 and GU6: Posi and 3.42 gears
I asked because I had a roomate in college who bought a brand new 4.3L Manual ZQ8. I was thrown back because I didn't know that they even let something like that leave the factory.

Auto
I looked hard for a manual but this one was a screaming deal and only had 61k miles. I've seen plenty of V6 manuals, but since I'm new to the ZQ8 RPO I don't think I would have noticed it if I had seen one.
... But I do have two T56s sitting in the garage
ZQ8 has lower and stiffer springs, a huge front bar, and bilstein shocks at least on the rear and perhaps on all four corners. i think it's also got a quadra-shock arrangement in the rear to control axle hop. i'd love to have a clean extra-cab ZQ8 with the 4.3 / auto.
I hear ya... I picked up a really clean '72 GT6 a couple of weeks ago. I haven't had a chance to add it to my reader's ride profile yet. I'm really out of room now, so should sell the E30, but I just finally got it running again.

ZQ8 has front and rear anti sway bar upgrades, Bilsteins front and rear. Springs as noted are stiffer and shorter.
BTW G body front springs fit, are taller but have 787lb spring rate
fwiw, we used a short/short ZQ8 4.3/manual Sonoma to dolly the corvair to the challenge in 02, 03, and 04. the autobox has a higher tow rating so would probably be a better choice if pulling uphill was required. I-75 from Detroit to Gainesville only makes the truck work a few times through KY and TN, and with our load we were able to maintain 70 mph by using third gear on the steeper uphills. never had a problem with overheating the brakes, but again, our load wasn't too bad and we know how to downshift.
