Nov 29 marked our three year anniversary of opening a dog and cat supply store/boutique in downtown Burlington, VT. We opened in 2019 and three months later had to shut down due to COVID-19. But we're still here. It's my wife's store. I'm the unpaid intern! She's done an amazing job. Just wanted to share.
Pet supplies were an interesting one during the pandemic. People got pets, so demand grew, but supply chain and labor issues with suppliers made feed products went way up with regards to cost. And now of course shelters are full again and a lot of pets are facing separation anxiety.
Congratulations on rolling with the punches and getting through three years that count as ten on the experience scale.

Thanks. My wife has done an incredible job. While supply chain issues have affected us the store is actually overflowing with too much inventory. My wife sometimes can't help herself. She has a business mentor helping her out. But each month keeps getting better. At some point I hope she can hire help so I can get my weekends back for car stuff!
