Not sure when I first got a YouTube account, but I had to create a new account. Maybe it was before Google bought YouTube. Now to try and contact someone at YouTube and try to claim my old user name and videos.
Thanks for the help.
VolvoHeretic is already claimed, (by me) so I had to add 3 numbers onto the end of it to create a channel. It seems that the only what to contact customer support is with the help button which doesn't work. wtf

You can't try to log in with your user name and reset your password?
I found the claim a pre-Google channel page, but it won't accept what I thought was my old password. After so many tries, it locked me out. It's just like when I tried to get a new scuba diving certificate card and found out that all of the records where destroyed in a fire.
There appears to be no way to talk to a real human being at youtube, must be completely run by computer. There's an X-files episode about that.

Correct. Not since 2011.
Mind me asking what it was? Maybe in private?

It's just the three car videos I made in 2007. Eventually, I want to make some more with a cell phone and it would be nice to have them all on the same channel. Phone would be a giant upgrade from the mini vhs camcorder I used back then.
Evidently, if I sign up for a free trial of YouTube Premium, I can download the videos and transfer them to my new user name and then cancel the free trial.
You'll need to log in to post.
