How long it took pre covid doesn't matter. What matters is how long it takes now. It took me a month to get mine, just now, with expedited service, over nighting it the package to them and paying extra for 2 days return service. It took 2 weeks for my sons passport with my wife contacting our Senator's office.
There is NO 1 day/same day turn around offices open, as of today at least, for passport services.

Oddly enough, I had a dream last night where I was in a foreign country and didn't have my passport with me.
