India has has such a big problem with poachers, that rangers have been allowed to kill poachers with no legal action being taken against them. Basically if you're a poacher in India, you are now being hunted. Congratulations shiny happy person.
I think this is great. Who's with me?
well.. it is now tourist season here at the shore....
Seriously though.. I think it is a great idea. Poachers have gotten away with decimating endangered populations for years/centuries. It is about time they face some real punishment
Would certainly make me think twice about going out, if I were a poacher.
That said, I anticipate rangers may find themselves in much more danger as a result. You force a mildly aggressive dog into a corner with intention of doing it harm, you're going to find that its a meaner dog than you thought.
Cottage industry: Wives on Safari! It is affordable because it only needs one way air fare.
Well I guess it's no worse than the valley around Area 51...sounds like fair game to me.
Personally, I'm a fan of due process.
the price of poached tigger parts just went up

... Or how much of a Bob Costas it is.

In my eyes, killing animals for any reason but survival is paramount to killing humans. I will kill anyone trying to kill my pet. I support killing poachers. Those animals are endangered. Give them a chance to give up, of course before hand.

India could end up with a few less people but I do not think anyone will notice.
Put me down in the "FOR" column.
I like this idea, but I am a little concerned about the possibility of it turning into a strait up ranger vs. poacher war.

Honest question, not a flounder - are you a vegetarian?

As opposed to a gay ranger vs poacher war? I think either would make a great sit-com.

At what class of animals do you draw the line? Is killing rats in a restaurant kitchen tantamount to killing a human? How about killing invasive species of fish that are taking over protected wetlands? Or smashing a mosquito that lands on your leg?
The way I see it killing for food is fine. Killing purely for sport is wrong. Kill the deer, eat the venison and mount the head, fine, but don't shoot it just for sport, we're above that.
Killing endangered species for anything but self-defense (although it seems even worse to kill for bullE36 M3 medicine) is as wrong as killing a human IMO.

I draw the line about where you put it. Safety of others primarily. (Invasive rodents can spread disease.) Insects I put in a different class, but I still don't like killing them. Killing invasive fish I would say is OK. I think you catch my drift.
Gameboy sounds like he's on about the same page.
[thanks for not drilling me on my bad grammar.]
These poachers just need to be educated so they can be productive members of society.
I agree with you N Sperlo. One of the guys I work with is a "great white hunter" His house is fairly scary with the amount of heads he has mounted.. He has gone on safari several times and is "running out of animals" to hunt that he has not already killed...
Hunting and being a Mason is all he freaking talks about.

Queer eye for the poaching guy

They are productive. I would not have been able to father 27 children were it not for the raging hard-ons I get from snorting ground white rhino horns.

so they should write equations and E36 M3 on the bullets, right?
