Just read this. Buying a domain and setting up a redirect would take me 15 minutes and I'm not proficient all. I'll do that for $1000 anytime you need it done.

I wouldn't be terribly surprised if half or all of that $1k was the cost for the domain itself, national-level TLDs are expensive. I know a .ca is $200CAD+, and that's all assuming somebody doesn't own the domain already and is selling it for more.
I had to do something similar one time but it was just for a page on a website, a new secretary who didn't seem to know how to copy and paste sent out a URL with a filename that was supposed to have an underscore in it with a space instead, so I had to set up a new page with a redirect. She got canned pretty soon afterward.
That website had a .org TLD which worked fine and was accurate enough, but having the .com would've been nice...however, some shiny happy person had randomly bought the .com years before and wanted $30kUS for it, so .org it was.
Edit: Just checked into the .bs domain cost and it's over $500USD to register one assuming it's available.
I sure wouldn't mind making $400USD+ for the few minutes of work involved in registering a domain and setting up a redirect though. I just tacked on some work to a bill that involves at least 3 trips to a place 30mins away and fixes to 7 computers including 3 replacement parts and it still isn't that much!
