Didn't even know that was being considered. I thought we were doing routine MS and concussion stuff.

I guess I should be thrilled. By I didn't know there were things going on to even make it a consideration.

And that's why it was being considered.

Can they test for it now? For some reason I thought Alzheimer's was something that could only be confirmed after death?

I never considered that! Good thinking. My wife wishes it's hurry up. Then my library could just be one book.

Glasses. It has happened to my father twice. While wearing them.

Fortunate that's not a problem for me - I can't see past the end of my nose without them - but I have lost my phone while it was in my hand.

There's a reason why I have 3 of every wrench, socket and ratchet in my garage. I can misplace the socket I just had in my hand. and not find it until after I get done.

It was a peculiar Dr visit. Wife was late, then got lost and flustered. Ended up with the Doctor on my phone guiding her in, and both of us waiting about an hour for her to come. He was perfectly happy to wait for her. OK, I know he likes having her there, but still, this was kinda weird.

Then she got there and the Doctor and she did most of the talking, right over my head like I was a kid in a pediatricians office. The reassurance at the end that he saw no indications of Alzheimers was to her, not me.

I also suspect some other conversations are taking place that I'm not aware of. The Doc slipped a little when he said he saw very little change in the last MRI. Previously he's said no change, at least to me. I jumped on this point and he rather danced around, looking at my wife. Huh. Sooo, maybe there are some things being seen.

Chuckle, I all but got a lollypop coming out of his office.

Might also be why Ms. Foxtrapper has been harping on me to get my VA benefits squared away and has suddenly shifted to wanting me to retire as soon as I'm able and lock in the benefits. Previously she's been all "hell no, we need the money".

Mea. Probably much ado about nothing and just me seeing some boogers in the wood pile where there are none. Think I'll just laugh and continue on, and start hoarding Easter eggs.

The definitive test for Alzheimer's Dementia is to cut your brain apart and send pieces of it off for staining, then examine it under a microscope. Anything else is "well, maybe yes, maybe no." Note that the cutting, staining, etc. is done at autopsy. I don't think you're ready for that yet, so have some fun today, as my friend PapaDoc says.

ROTFLMAO! I love it! That's even better than roll playing!

Dr. Hess. I know it isn't here yet, and may not ever happen. Just a little disconcerting to find out there are apparently some things happening with me that are making people wonder and worry.

I've watched family members and friends go down this path. Some with grace, some without. If it is my destiny, I hope I can walk it with the grace I've seen in others. Enjoying the company of pleasant strangers, accepting the jumbling of memories, delighting in a bowl of ice cream, and other simple pleasures of a smaller life.
