But boy, am I tempted (ZAV content):

I seems to be odd vehicle week up here, first the Centurion C-350 four door Bronco, then a Trans Am on an S10 chassis (which had my boss ask me "so, you're gonna buy it then?" when I showed it to him) and now this...
Let's see if I can fit in the 200+ roundtrip to Susanville tomorrow or not.
$5800 is a good price for that with the motor missing.
Damn, why do I have to be so broke and so far away?
This is for sale locally... I've been considering the various potential applications....

Seems like a nice fit!
trailer's a litte rusty, but i'd rock that truck in a heartbeat after figuring out some overdrive arrangement.

Judging by the daylight shining through the side of that particular trailer, you may want to keep looking.

Heavy vehicle, not a lot of power and the M715 has a militarized engine that supposedly shares hardly any parts with the civilian version.
Nothing that an SBC can't fix, but it's not that cheap a conversion. Oh, and the gearing would need to be changed as they're geared really low.

I've seen one of those with a diesel in real life. I wanted it.
They are seriously cool, and if it causes you problems showing up with that in the Sierras, the mockers just don't have a clue. The diesel version I've seen was a M.A.R.S. repower using a Hercules 4 cylinder turbo diesel. They also raised the gears from 5.87 to 4.88. It still went anywhere theyy pointed it, and got 24 mpg running at 65 mph. Not much wrong with it, except that it wasn't mine.
Bummer!
Buy this before it gets away, Tim!
Those things are an epic fail as far as freeway driving goes without a gear swap, but other than that they are pretty awesome. My friends dad has 2 of them.
maybe I am no fan of v8s.. But I think a civvie jeep %G with the proper gearing would be better.. After the original drivetrain finally dies
hell yes. as much as i love the jeep FSJ trucks like the honcho and gladiatior, a Kaiser M712 or M715 is just soooo much more awesome.

Those are drain holes.

Is the civvy Hurricane engine actually more powerful and more importantly, does it fit without too much work?
