So as I was typing out a build thread on my ranger after doing so fancy work to it, a nice storm decided to roll through...
I think the winds were about 70mph as the rain made so you couldn't see much past 10' looking out the windows...
I love trees that stick around for a long time but not when they block the road and everyone and their brother decides they need to use your roundabout driveway to turn around.

Part of the tropical storm that came through down here in the south earlier in the week? My rain gauge completely filled up in less than 8 hours on Saturday, over 7 inches.
The crown of the road here is about a foot higher than the drainage ditches on each side.
Wife was raised in Big Rapids and we met at Ferris State University. Lots of trips up and down on 131.

We are supposed to have some heavy storms this afternoon.
Then again, we were also supposed to get some of Christobol yesterday, and that didn't happen.
In reply to wawazat :
That's where I got my AAS in mech eng tech.

That looks fun, I believe that's what's left of Cristobal from the Gulf of Mexico earlier this week. Heading our way for tomorrow afternoon and evening.
it's windy AF right now in Canton, about 120 miles east of Ranger50.
yeah that was like someone turned on the wind lightswitch. I'm about 30 miles from you (just south of Grattan Raceway).

I saw pea sized hail and barely could see 10' outside because of the rain and wind.
In reply to Mr_Asa :
With all the rain we have been getting, I should be looking for a boat to commute in.
My Forte was getting waterboarded.
I was out driving in that storm today. I swear I could feel it pushing my F150 sideways.
Fenton here, windows are rattling with the thunder. LOVE IT!!

That's pretty much my front window right now.
Brighton checking in. We got about a half hour of torrential rain, but it's slacking off now. I think we got away pretty easy, lots of places were hit much harder.
Told one of my coworkers who was leaving to get lunch to take a snorkel.
Just lost power again here in A2.
Rain hit for about 15 minutes then stopped. I filled all the tiki torches, closed the garage door and it let loose for another 10 minutes. I can see a little more on radar until about 8:30EST then we're good.
Ranger50-My wife, a townie, got her AAS in Industrial Chemical Technology at FSU then bounced around the midwest with me and my jobs earning her BS in Psychology and Criminal Justice at Kent State then her JD at Wayne State. I graduated with a BS in Plastics Engineering Technology from FSU then took positions with Bayer and Exxon Mobil before moving back home to Detroit to sell injection molding equipment and industrial automation in the late '90's.

Uhhhh plastics? When? I am missing the coop for the AAS in Plastics Tech...
By 7:00 PM in Sandusky, OH the same thing rolled in. Many limbs down but no personal property damage. Lights out for a while. Worst of all, Weds night sailboat racing canceled on Sandusky Bay (the first big boat event of the year.)
