I'm not in Michigan but about 30 seconds ago there was a gust of wind and I could feel the house flex.
Just started raining.

Pictures 1-3 are all the same tree that came down.
The white house in the background is my house. Luckily, no trouble with my trees.
The next two pictures are one tree near the creek.
Many other smaller branch sets down too but this is the big stuff
We had a "derecho" roll through the Colorado front range area on Saturday. Trees and power lines down all over, and sideways monsoon rain as well.

More like EX-j, amirite?
This reminds me, there is a not too healthy branch of the tree on the front lawn, that will fall roughly in the direction of my bedroom.
Lost power last night as noted, power company says 11:30 pm to get it back.
since I have time, I'll be getting the parts for another solar generator.
Locally, the high winds in the downtown area tore the roof off the Historic State Theater causing a lot of the building to collapse. Locally there is a lot of concern that it wont be savable.
When my wife and I were first dating she had a ultra cool, loft apt in the row or buildings shown in the video. Her parking was in the lot directly behind the theater.
Ha! That was close!
Spiers, Conti, Bramer, Whitmore, Muccio, Wolfer (started after I finished but I got to know him).

Schult must have been after you.
Wolfer was a Tupperware guy. Muccio was just too damn smart for his own good. Spires was my advisor and was smart but dumb. After you got out they got bob pierce who worked for Dow.

21 hours later, we now have power.
I did get an inverter, and try to run my frige with it an my car- thought it ran ok, but apparently not, as it didn't cool down much. No indication that there was a problem, though. Odd.

29hrs here since I reported the outage with an estimated time of restoration of 0445....
Such utter bullE36 M3.
We've been really fortunate that I don't think we've lost power for more than an hour or two since we moved in. Neighbors a mile or two up the road are in the same boat as Ranger50, where they may go ~1-2 days without power following any kind of storm. We also didn't get all that much over by Detroit, other than quite a bit of wind all day.
Mini typhoon rolled through here tonight, took out several trees (and a Blazer) in the span of a 10minute or less storm.
