Apparently when the roads are icy here in Michigan, what you need to drive to get to work on time is a Jeep....or a Miata??

The Miata is more fun in the snow covered empty parking lots.

My ex- would always make a point of driving to work in her MINI (with snow tires) no matter what the weather was like.

Personally, it depends.  If I have enough notice and can take work home to do, I'll stay off the roads.  I'm past the need to prove I can spend 3 hours driving to work wen it normally takes less than an hour.

When we had ice last week I drove my 2wd ranger like normal. My favorite part of snow and ice is watching the giant 4wd vehicles slide past stop signs because they seem too not realize they need even more stopping distance

Based on quality of parking spots it also looks like the Miata got there before the 4wds.  Did he win the race?

I'm extremely equipment dependent, I can only work at my office.  So I go in no matter what's going on with the roads.  That's why I've always had awd and some sort of aggressive snow tire.  This is the first year I haven't, I'm trying out the BFG KO2's, which are an AT, but snow rated.  We'll see how they work and if I regret not picking up another set of wheels to put hard core snow tires on.

I only had snow tires for the Fiat so on bad days I would take that since I can’t miss days in bad weather. It was always amusing chugging past stuck cars and suvs in my happy little car.

He did. He's the director of engineering, I've NEVER beat him to work.

I had K02s on my Expedition. You won't regret not picking up a set of hard core snow tires. K02s are so good, they take all the fun out of hooning in the snow.

There is a reason it's known as The Answer.  They're just as fun in snow as they are in the sun.
