There's a reason why I'm the tow rig for winter RallyX events. I frequently get more track time than the racers.

I just tried to DL JDooM- man that's a trainwreck, it freaked my virus software OUT.

I usually use Zdoom.

BTW, there's an iOS port of Doom as well. Single player, but it's a fun way to pass the time.

And who's heard the remix album? They kept the shotgun pickup noise in Hangarmageddon.

Exocet isn't quite ready (or mine to take), but don't think it hasn't crossed my mind.

Am I man enough to drive to the track, or do I tow? Today it was actually above 0F when I fired up the truck for the first time this month, but 3 isn't much better. I may have to wuss out and bring the trailer. After all, I might need to haul someone out.

There's a Raptor coming. I anticipate shenanigans.

what iWad are you using? I've tied a couple free ones, from sketchy places sure to provide malwear. One didn't work, the other was a Doomesq game, but the bad guys were wrong, maps were wrong, music was wrong, your face at the bottom of the screen was wrong, etc.

Edit: I've got a working shareware iwad now. I think I might still have a Doom II CD somewhere, maybe I can pull the file off of it, if I can find it.

I drove around with the 3 last night in the snow on my Blizzak WS70's. That thing may be BETTER in the snow than either one of my WRX's were with all-seasons. Something AWD with real snows will indeed put you in God Mode.

And now I want to play Doom!

GOG is really cool, too. I discovered it the other night, when they had Fallout, Fallout 2, and Fallout Tactics for FREE!

Doom is considered the Godfather of First Person Shooter games. IDDQD is a cheat code, that a player types, that makes him invincible, or "God Mode".

Snow/winter tires on an AWD car is much like "God Mode".

Wolfenstein 3D would be the great granddaddy of the modern 3D FPS with out it ID probably would have fizzeled out and the greats that followed, Doom, Heretic, Quake, etc. would likely have never been.

As far as the winter driving I must have been doing it wrong, my Jeep has a Lock-Right in the rear, snow/ice, short wheel base, it's a squirrelly mofo even in 4x4. I can "go" but not necessarily turn. It sure is fun to do donuts in though.

DooM soundtrack

About 10 years ago, I found a complete Doom/Doom2 soundtrack. It is still a .midi but with more instruments (32?). I had the original, in-game soundtrack somewhere but cannot find it now.

After I got stuck like 5 times today. I'm considering fitting my Prizm with 13" steelies and 155/80r13 winterforces. Good idea or excellent idea? the 195mm General Altimax HPs just don't cut it with that little aluminum motor over them.
