I don't mind Adam Levine.
'Ten' is strong all the way through, too bad they seemed to have lost their way later. 'Vitalogy' made me want to break the damn disc in half.
I bet it was the 356 that got Lesley's attention.

Exactly. He can't be a douche if he'd buy that instead of a Lambo.
poopshovel wrote:I graduated in '90Then again, I graduated in 2005Once again, you guys are proving my argument, as all the cool E36 M3 came out after 1990 and before 2000. PROOF: ALL three of the best Sunny Day Real Estate records. Enter the Wu Tang, and shortly after, the CREAM of the crop of solo releases. THE BULK of Fugazi's work - Repeater through End Hits. EVERY JAWBREAKER record came out from 90-2000. Kool Keith/Dr. Octagon/Black Elvis's best E36 M3. 90-2000. Hieroglyphics "Third Eye Vision." Hell, I don't even know why I'm mentioning specific hip hop records, the 90's was THE peak of hip hop. Shudder to Think's 2 best records were released in 94 and 96(?) The only Smashing Pumpkins stuff that was worth a E36 M3 came out in the early 90's. The list goes on and on. Go two years back from '90 and you've got 1988 - the year EVERY berkeleyING METAL BAND worth a E36 M3 at the time made their BEST record...(excluding a couple. Maiden peaked before then.)
Those are compelling (and awesome) examples of some of the greatest music of the past 23 years, for sure. The early-90's were like the late-60's in terms of having a ton of prolific, relevant artists putting out timeless, classic music.
However, Silversun Pickups, Fleet Foxes, Bon Iver, Death Cab For Cutie, Beach House, M83, Kings of Leon and The White Stripes/Raconteurs (to name a few) have made incredible music in the current time.

He has an Aston Martin (Vanquish?), too.
I may be wrong on this, but I believe Ted Nugent holds the record for the loudest concert in history when they had noise complaints from 10 miles away at one concert...

He just bought it to be ironic.

I'll get hipsterish for a second. Ignore the stuff you've heard ad nauseum on the radio. They make solid, gimmick-free American rock and roll. There is no reason a die-hard classic rock fan shouldn't like them.
"California Waiting" is a fantastic song.

the who had the Guinness record for quite some time. I can't remember who has it now (too lazy to google)
I just turned 48. If I still only listened to what I listened to in high school, I'd have shot myself long ago.
Here's a hint: good music exists in all eras and genres.
Here's another hint: mass-produced, processed music is just like mass-produced, processed food: made to be consumed in large quantities by people who are easily led by mass quantities of advertising.
