I need to get my girlfriend's old iPod downloaded onto her laptop and into iTunes. It's been a while since I've used third party software for this backup - what's the go-to program these days?

Actually, iTunes isn't strictly necessary, since we'll both be taking all the music from her computer onto our Android phones. If there's something better for music management that plays well with Mac and Android, that's cool, too.

She's running 10.6.8 BTW.

Looks pretty good. Can I just run Miro and it will recognize the ipod and allow me to download from it, or will I need thrid party software for that phase of the game?

EDIT: Ah. Nope, doesn't work with Apple devices yet. Looks like a good tool for Android interface once all the music is downloaded, though.

Okay, I have xPort exporting 3,886 songs now. I'll let you know how it resolves once it's finished up...later tonight.
