Growing up in the 80's I didn't actually think I liked music. The Fall was a part me me realizing that I did.

He might have been crazy, a svengali, a tyrant or whatever but his part in me realizing who I was/am was hugely important .

I'm gonna go dig out the score for a crazy ballet the fall released as the album "I am kurious Oranj" and put it on the turntable

The Fall was a critical part of my college years; Mark E Smith was a genius and a monster all at once but definitely a prolific and unique artist. The story of The Fall’s 50-odd band members is as fascinating as the band’s output.

At least he was usually fighting the good fight.

That is AWESOME

He was an attendee of the "Most important gig in history" and like most of the others in attendance went out and changed the musical landscape for the better.
