And, to take it yet another half turn around the circle, Teen Spirit was actually the personal fragrance line marketed by/with Debbie Gibson, who was the Britney of the previous generation, but without the highly public blow habit and raging hormone overload.

I have never seen the show with Regis and whoever before, but after catching a few seconds of it, I am convinced that I missed the apocalypse. These people make a career out of talking about famous people who are famous largely because they are famous. The Regis guy spent like 1/2 hour talking about some super secret dinner he was invited to attend with a bunch of other famous people. Sadly, I knew some of these names, but I could not figure out for the life of me what each one of them was famous for, exactly. None of them was a gifted comedian, exceptional in some technical field, participated in any groundbreaking research or discovery, completed wondrous works or art or committed any selfless act. The world is over.
Maybe one day we can have a beer and you can explain the Kardasians to me.

I actually had the Foo Fighter vs Nirvana conversation at work last week. It was my stance that, while I hold Nirvana high, they couldn't compete with Foo Fighters today.
